i5 8400 @ $189.99 = £144 with conversion - can this hit £160 UK retail... mmmmm
if 8600k version can land at 1600x prices- things should be interesting
Yeah I checked it out, ouch at Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 price and very surprised Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming is about £80 cheaper than Gaming 7.
Hmmm tough decisions to choose Z370 motherboard.
*face palm*You're missing VAT.
144 * 1.2
Margin on systems is higher than individual components so I will look into doing this for you. If your ordering on launch should be fine. Will you keep me one to put one of the new full systems you said would be ready not long after release
Can't tell if you're face palming me*face palm*
8600K is certainly a solid option for gaming. In our experience oc is very solid too. No Ht ofcourse saves on Temps.

I think we'd be lucky to see it hit 180 with conversion tax and shipping

personally wanting to see if i5 8400/8600k can match B350 Gaming 3/Strix + ryzen 1600+16GB pricing and performance - although getting a £100-110 poud board ...
How come the egg has them for sale? It's not the 5th yet?
I assume they wont ship them till the 5th but yea seems there taking pre orders like rainforest US
I don't think you're going to get the new i5 and motherboard cheaper than Ryzen.
At the minute the 1600 is around £190 (just under) and as you know you can pick up a B350 board quite cheaply, say £100 so you're looking at £290.
I honestly can't see the 8600k being under £200 at launch, obviously I've got no inside knowledge at all, but with the high prices (and previous intel launches) stock prices always seems to be artificially high at launch. I reckon it's not going to be too far from £270, and boards likely £130-£200 as there's probably not going to be much choice at release.
The UK e-tailers should as well?
Thats up to them i guess. I know one UK site with asus and asrock boards in stock right now ;P
true, if 8400 can get its Turbo working well then could be a lime light steal - but getting the £100/20 mobo - knno some of the vendors its high-middle prices boards on launch day
I've been to that site as well. Not buying a board without a CPU though.

Like this the current I5 K series is 259 quid (retail) so I imagine they aren;t going to sell it cheaper because hey they have to get their pound of flesh, I imagine it will be around the 269 mark as per their usual +10 every gen.
