Intel to launch 6 core Coffee Lake-S CPUs & Z370 chipset 5 October 2017

I'm extremely spoiled when it comes to coffee; always get my own freshly grind beans from all over the world; Uganda, Kenya, Indonesia, South American countries and so on. But I'm also no stranger to Costa either. As long as it's strong and black, I'm in (oh man, Terry Crews is gonna be all over my twitter!). I also like lakes - I sincerely do - so how can I not look favourable to this CPU...? Kidding about the correlation of course!

You'll never work for the council with an attitude like that :/

a man can dream, I keep sweeping those streets!

man you need to get on my level, fresh beans? pfft.

step 1. walk to local asda
step 2. buy whatever coffee is on sale
step 3. mix coffee granules with some milk and hot water
step 4. realise it tastes like the devil's jizz and go to maccy d's drive thru for a latte.

hey, at least sometimes I rinse out my cup after a few coffees I guess?

Well I hope that CoffeeLake Geekbench score is based on a fixed low 3.2Ghz clockspeed and not boosting higher because my 4690K gets a score of 5300/15800 in single core & multicore @4.5Gz

I'd actually saved up just over £1K for X299, took one look at it and thought - nah thats not for me as a gamer.

So Im hoping mainstream 6 core is an interesting part for us gamers.. but I wont hold my breath lol

I cant really justify the price given the AMD alternatives. Hopefully Coffee lake wont be too ridiculously priced and if its good I can relegate the 1700x to my daughters build. :)

I have a little over 1k as well and felt exactly the same as you. Once I saw performance and price of x299 mobo's and quad channel ram(Ram prices are through the roof) I changed my mind as well mate. I'm waiting.

Same here. If RAM weren't so horrendously expensive at the moment and if Intel had bothered to solder the CPUs then I might have gone x299.

According to studies people that drink black coffee have higher chances of exhibiting psychotic tendencies. No wonder, how can a normal person enjoy something so bitter and tasteless :p

Americano with two shots = overclocking coffee

I'm still waiting for Winelake like we used to have in the EEC.
