Found my self 16gb of ddr4 cheap ordered it, just need the 8400 to come back in stock and drop so I can order.

This 3570k is not liking my gtx 1080.

Just to confirm with you guys that I ordered the right ram description says ddr4 16gb (2x8) 288-pin DIMM module.
Is this the right stuff I need for my 8400?

Yeah pretty bad stutter trying to play 2015 need for speed max settings, cpu is just at 100% whole time.

Fair enough. I was interested as I've had one before, though it was never paired with a card as powerful as that. My 6600K seems to be fine with the 980Ti, though I expect there is a restriction of sorts in some instances, however, I'm pleased with the performance.

Just building a i5-8400 build for my nephew. This is at stock and no fiddling and pretty much matches the 7700k reference scores in single and multi on cpuz. Pretty good for £170 i thought.

Yeah it's hard to justify the extra £80-£90 for the unlocked one.

I'm waiting for them to come back in stock so I can pick one up.
