International football & World Cup Qualifiers 9th Sept **spoilers**

Anybody know what was going on after Eduardo scored? Some idiot ran onto the pitch and looked like he was having a go at Eduardo who then appeared to wrestle him to the ground. Itv switched to long range shots of the stadium at that point and when pictures came back Eddy was immediately subbed. For his own protection?

What?

I thought the crap given to him before hand was out of order.

Just because you have qualified this time round there is no need to get cocky. :(

Funny you should mention Andy Murray, i'm looking forward to England's probable failure at next years world cup. ;)

Good performances, not brilliant.

We put 5 past a very poor Croatia.

We still, *lack* been able to play the ball through the middle, thought Lennon was very good first half, Lampard and Gerrard did well to get their goals. Johnson was good going forward and poor in defense as per.

Good performance :)

Lol'd when ITV cut to big shots of Stadium :p Me, and the lads and the rest of the pub wanted to see him get taken out :D

No. If you think Rooney dived against Arsenal you clearly don't watch enough football.

Countless referees have analyzed the tackle on Sky Sports News and all came to the same decision.

They generally know what is and isn't a penalty. Especially from replays.

You can have a penalty and still dive .. let's put it this way, Rooney did not try to stay on his feet

And would you try and stay on your feet? One goal down and the keeper charging out at you, he's going to take you out and you're going to stay on your feet?

I think the best way to put it is this.

Was Rooney looking for a foul? YES.

Did the keeper foul him? YES.

It's still a penalty. Rooney's actions were less than decent but at the end of the day, the keeper was the one who gave away the penalty.

Anyone who thinks it's like Eduardo's dive needs their head examined. Sorry, but they're nothing like each other.

Lennon definitely deserved his MOTM award, although Johnson ran him close. Good to see Stevie G having a good game in a shirt other than Red for a change too.

Lennon has improved immeasurably under Redknapp. You could almost say he's taken him to a church to show him what a cross looks like ;)

I think you're right. The Mail online are saying the pitch invader was a Croat, Eduardo didn't seem impressed and definately shoved him to the ground:D just as ITV cameras went walkabout.
I've no idea why there's such a witchunt being conducted against him by England fans. So he dived against some Scottish pub team, big deal. It's not as if the Scots have any fondness for the England national team and in fact their hero is Maradonna for his infamous hand of god cheating against us.
I also defy any of the haters to come up with an example of Eduardo diving apart from the Celtic one so why single him out from the multitude of serial divers that ply their trade here?

Paraguay just hit the post.

If Argentina lose this game, then they will have to beat Peru(formality) and then play Uruguay away for the final game.

edit:

Hot the cross bar as well now.

Because your typical English man will listen to the media instead of thinking for themselves?
