International football & World Cup Qualifiers 9th Sept **spoilers**

Anyway.

In my view, England looked very good, although we were highlighted againts an unusually poor Croatia. Lennon for man of the match was well deserved, IMO Johnson weren't far behind.

8/8 wins for England, I don't think we have done that in a World Cup qualifying campaign.

Rooney didn't dive against Arsenal.

Listen to any critic who generally knows what they are talking about and they all agreed it was a certain pen .I'd rather not get into that though.

Difference between 'riding' a challenge and 'diving'. Momentum and outstretched arms = penalty

Rooney was on his way down before any contact, a pre-meditated dive just like Eduardo... only difference was Almunia fell for it.

Eduardo's "dive" would have been no worse if the keeper had attempted to get the ball.

Huh, could have sworn I saw him playing. That'll teach me to pay more attention I guess.

Whoa whoa whoa. He did what now? Played? As in like, kicked a football? About a pitch? Without breaking?

He played?.. and he didn't fall apart?

You know there are rumors going about he was out for so long because he had alcohol and gambling problems. Don't believe them, but they are intresting.

cracking performance, really good show by lennon particularly in the first half.

*edit and gerrard, lampard, rooney, johnson (going forward -but mistakes were forgivable) and very very solid by all others.

Cracking performance by england :D Are scotland going to the worldcup ? :p

We disdain such vulgarities as actually playing in football World Cups where we might have to indulge in some physical exercise or quelle horreur run into some boorish English louts and instead settle for more refined pursuits such as curling, elephant polo and snooker when we're not practicing alcoholism, domestic violence and heart disease - sometimes all at once if we're really skilled. ;)
