International Friendlies - England vs Norway/Belgium [May 26th - June 2nd 2012]

Good point.

Whenever i see Johnson play for City, he always seem to stand out amongst the other 'superstars' City have...especially for his age. Isn't he 21/22?

24 I think, surely must look to more first team football soon, if he carries on from the bench at City?

He's not, not even slightly, Johnson is rubbish, selfish, insanely predictable and, did I say rubbish.

Milner is in the team for a reason, versatility, a reason that Johnson wouldn't forfill in any way at all so there is no reason at all Johnson should be in the team ahead of Milner.

Milner also shouldn't be in the team but that is another matter entirely ;)

See, you say predictable but having watched Johnson through his entire Middlbrough career unlike the handful of chances he gets at City I can tell you you are completely wrong.

He's 24, produces almost nothing, he "looks" like he might do something largely because he rarely passes, is selfish and runs at the full backs, the problem is, he loses the ball almost every time.

He made 26 appearances, yet produced very little and what he did produce was against Stoke(with Stoke away, who are barely a football team away), Blackburn, Bolton, Villa, Wolves.......

He can look exciting but has little to no end product and doesn't ever perform or score unless the team is doing well without him basically, he can't turn games, he has no consistency, he's lazy, selfish and just ****, and at 24, he's past promising and well into not good enough. But again as said, Milner is in there because he can play across the middle of the park and could fill in at fullback if required, Johnson can do one role, not very well and is terrible defensively.

Yup, handful of appearances, when I can prove you wrong, and I've seen him many times, then well, not much more needs to be said. He's played in 63 City games in the league alone... handful, no, 3 years, plenty of appearances, completely predictable, utterly selfish.

What a **** pass by Carroll, again, had only anywhere infront and to the right of Young to aim at so blasted it past him. Carroll so far has been far to happy to pass it to midfield when he hasn't needed to as well. Young flicked the ball on to him, no real pressure, passed it straight to Gerrard on the half way line for no reason, Gerrard passed it wide left and Carroll made no effort to run into the box so the cross went in for Young and Milner to try to get in on.

Without tempting fate and I know it's early doors against well................Norway but really check Steven Gerrard's game tonight. Really good tactics from Roy Hodgson. Playing to England's strengths with Parker doing the leg work to allow Stevie G to get more time on the ball. Encouraging early signs to see an England manager who looks to have found the right formula to accommodate the enigma that is Stevie G

Gerrard has mostly been poo, and the team shouldn't try to fit around him, he's limited and has a terrible fitness record in the past couple years, and playing someone like Parker should let a CM alongside him get much more forwards and support getting into the box more. Lampard is the much better player for the past few years and suits playing alongside Parker much better, Lampard is far more capable defensively as well.

EDIT:- he'll clearly score a hattrick now I've said that.
