Had a bit of an episode last night.
Been chatting to someone on POF for a while now. Exchanged pics etc.
She looked ok from the pics I had seen so we decided to meet up last night. We had arranged that I'd just go round hers and watch a DVD and chill out.
Anyways I turn up, go inside her house. Look twice at her and realise she ain't that nice at all. Dressed up like a complete word beginning with S, golden hoop earings, looks like a man. Not my type at all but yet she looked quite reasonable from the pics.
I'm a polite kinda guy so just went along with it. We started watching the film and she pours us both a glass of wine. I say, I can't have this I'm driving. She says it's ok, I can stay over.
I accept the glass of wine but just put it on the table besides me and don't touch it.
Half way through the film she asks if I fancy a walk to the shop to get some beers. I say yea ok but insist I drive as I hadn't touched my drink yet.
The shop is within walking distance but I drove anyways. She went inside the shop to get said beers. I stayed in the car and pondered flooring it back home.
Moments later I look inside the shop. She is queing up with the beers. I kept saying to myself "i can't just go", "i can't just go". Seconds later the foots to the floor and I've left her in the shop.
I did actually feel really really horrible for doing it but I seriously didn't wanna spend anymore time with her.
I'm probably gonna get a flaming for this but meh, thought I'd share.

are you on pof?
Maybe try a different free website if you're not having much luck finding a decent girl? I've seen eHarmony being advertised a lot recently and their ad comments that it's for people who are looking for a relationship not just dating
(if that's what you're after?)
I've never used it so not sure how good it is.

I have been using POF for a while without much success, only been on one date and possibly have one coming up soon. Overall I don't think POF is very good.
Bear with me on this but I have been having a look at the dating section of Hot or Not and it is the way dating sites all should be. You flick through profiles and just click Yes if you want to meet the person. You then get mutual matches that you can email instead of wasting time emailing people who are not interested.
Just emailed my first mutual match so I will keep you all posted if I have more success with it.

Yeah, I'm on PoF. I registered with the free trial on Match today but haven't finished my profile off.
I'd like a relationship but just dating someone nice would be great to start with. Seems I attract 30+ single parents or 40+ mid life crisis types. The slightly more suitable women are OK at first but then expose their insecurities which is a real turn off. One women I met once was fine on the date then, went from normal to OTT stalker. If I read an email and didn't reply straight away there was always "some other girl" even if it had only been 10 minutes!

Ah right, well hopefully you will have more luck on match then. I've found there seems to be more "sensible" men on there for me (well as much as they can be )

eHarmony.. I think they're moving into the UK market now. I had a go registering a profile a while ago on the US site, and I didn't understand the site one bit.. maybe I'm not 'sophisticated' enough to use it
