Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

... I wouldn't have a good feeling if she said that to me... you'd want a "So what are you doing this weekend" text.

My 2 cents

I joined match for a bit, as I heard good things, it was really easy to get "dates", to be honest it turned into a series of 1 night stands, got bored of it. Match is miles better than POF (for London anyway) as there are loads of tidy birds on there, whereas POF is full of sea donkeys and fat girls (I only go for thin sporty girls to match my sportiness, quite shallow yes)

Ended up with a girl I used to like at uni (a whole 3 years ago) who got in touch with me (not on these sites, in text randomnly!)

Last night was a failure...

By text..

Me 7.21pm: Everything still OK for later?

Her instant reply: Yeh wot time were u thinkin?

Me: Umm I think we said half nine but earlier or later makes no difference.
I am home now, had a bite to eat and all I need now is a shower and I'm ready.

Her 7.32pm:Would u mind if we meet up anouther time ive had a **** day & really dont feel gd. Sorry.

Me: No worries (actuallly was going a bit )

Her: Sorry ive already got my pjs on & dont fancy gettin ready.

Don't think I can be bothered talking to her again.

She sounds like a dumbass so she probably did you a favour. Although when a woman asks me what time, I give her a time. Don't give them the option to say no!

lol it is actually really annoying when you arrange to meet someone and they (basically) can't be bothered. Happened to me today as well.

Scuba - that's a bit out of order. what was the point in her asking what time if she is then going to cancel?!
If she already had her pjs on she had clearly already made up her mind that she wouldn't bother. I wonder how long she would've waited to cancel if you hadn't sent her the initial text

As gambitt said, she did you a favour.

My match subscription is up for renewal next month. I don't know whether to bother or not.
One of the girls I work with (who recommended match) said she used it because she thought if a guy had to pay for it, he might then actually be more serious about looking for someone.

Which is what my thoughts on it were as well. But now i'm wondering if i should cancel it and join one of the free sites. (not pof though lol just looks a bit chavvy to me :p)

EXACTLY what I was thinking..

In a way I'm glad she did bottle it / couldn't be bothered I was beginning to get that impression anyway. (she never goes out apparently)
Met a much nicer down to earth skinny woman with no kids, who doesn't smoke or drink tonight. :D Doesn't seem in anyway "odd" either AND she asked ME if I wanted to meet again.. Perfect. :)

You would think so secretspy but I have found Match to be horrendous for getting replies. Part of the problem is tons of people have done the 1 week free trial and then expired their membership. You can't tell who is an active member and you are emailing people who can't even reply. Apparently there is a class action lawsuit progressing in America because of this. I suppose its not so bad for girls if they don't send messages but still its a deceiving site with thousands of expired members.

In other news QuickLink's TK Maxx analogy is going down a storm. Used in an email tonight and the girl was loving it. :D

I just got a message from Garth from Wayne's World.

I did briefly, it took ages to answer all the questions and then it turned out they didn't have anyone in my area! Either that or my answers to the questions were all weird...

Same here. I think puting down: footie, blu-ray and the Afrika Korps as the three things i was most grateful for didn't help my cause any.

Then again, e-harmony is supposed to built around the views of it's American pastor creator, so you probably only get in if you believe in old god and only do the wild thing belly to belly.
