Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

You notice most women have a title that says "looking for a guy who can make me laugh" or "nice guys only" or similar. I went for something slightly amusing...."willing to lie about how we met".

I put some effort in my messages, I try to pick something out of their profile and make a joke out of it in order to segregate myself from the drones that just write "how r u babe?".

So I sent a nice looking girl a message and got a read/deleted. Fair enough but a few days later I clicked on her profile again and her title had changed to "willing to lie about how we met". :rolleyes:
 
Thought i'd give a bit of an update on the girl i met around 3 weeks ago now. We're in a full time relationship, haven't stopped seeing her for the past 3 weeks. Even went to her brother's birthday party last night.

It's going good! So, internet dating can't be all bad, but I have tried it before and it's been absolute **** - luck of the draw I guess.
 
My afternoon date went well today but its quite a confusing situation. I started talking to her ages ago but she got back with her ex and stuff and we just kinda became online friends. She is single now but I am not sure if we were just friends finally meeting up.

I guess I will just ask her out again and go with the flow but for the record she is awesome! :D
 
Well out of the majority of my messages sent out so far, they all just say 'Read'. I'm assuming that usually means 'your not my type' as apposed to I'm going to sit down at the weekend and spend a few hours to write a good message to that guy? I can but hope. :p

I do sometimes! I regularly save people on OkCupid etc for when I've got time to send them a decent message. The girl I'm trying to woo now I added as a favourite about a month before we started speaking because I totally forgot to message her.
 
Well i'm off to a good start only messaged a couple of girls and got one talking to me every night now. :) happy days! The annoying thing is somebody will message you saying "would you like to chat" etc. you start talking to them and the next reply is a one sentence/5 word answer. How am i suppose to "chat" if you're going to do that :mad: then they wonder why you don't reply :rolleyes:

Is OcC better then PF in your opinion? Just wondering thats all :)

There's definitely more people on PoF, but I would say the quality on OkC is MUCH higher. I'm talking to four girls off OkC at the moment - three just as friends - and they're all pretty, funny, clever etc.

Basically I've had way more luck on OkC.

When I dabbled on there for a bit of fun ages ago, I found that a lot. Athletic girls which are actually fat. Athletic to me is Size 6 (my type) not a chubbster who goes to spinning class once a month.

PoF is seriously full of sea donkeys. I remember seeing one girl who was fit in her pictures, met her, she was a chubbster, "my pictures are 2 years old" could have said!

Anyway, bird I've with through traditional means (my halloween outfit was a cross between a cyclist/joker/brokeback)...
