it's a man :p

lol I hope not!!

Giving her a call this evening if I'm not out.

As for people trying Zoosk on Facebook, its good although you will have a pay after a while to msg people (think its after 5 msg's), most people just have links to their FB pages anyways, so you can get round it without paying.

Thanks for the heads up, you had much luck on Zoosk?

Oh and whatever you do, don't just wink at people, as its highly annoying when you login to see 4/5 winks

I'm in the North East, which doesnt have that many girls my age (25) that don't already have kids, although I've started talking to a girl who lives a couple of hours drive away and she's a breath of fresh air (plus she's only 19, BONUS!!!!)

She's planning to come visit me in a few weeks once I move into my own place again :D

After reading through the whole thread I must say - you sure you don't have (if only a little) too high expectations?

I actually met my partner randomly online, and we didn't know how eachother looked until the day before we were gonna meet. Might have been risky but at the same time, could have just moved on if it didn't work out and luckily (without sounding like I'm on a high horse here) we both look alright. We spoke online for about 6 months before deciding to meet up on both MSN and on the phone.

Been together for over a year now :)

I certainly wouldn't recommend zoosk.
It's a really awful site to navigate and hangs quite regularly.

Have done about eight or nine replys to one person and winked about 20 people.

Had 2 profile views LOL.

It stars out words like facebook and hotmail so you have to get a bit imaginative when explaining how to be contacted. :D

The one person to reply (she paid the sub so that explains how I can contact her normally on there), doesn't live locally but must have been saying the right things as we are organising a NYE event away somewhere together. :D:rolleyes:

Just got to find somewhere that will be a cool NYE party now :o

As expected, that went to **** too. apparently, on the day we were to meet up, her sister miraculously had a car accident and had to rush off to Hospital.

Zoosk account deleted and that's me done with internet dating.

Went into Truro Town centre New years day (evening) but most places were dead, my brother spotted a uni mate of his and a few of his friends so we all ended up in the pub together.
Then I start noticing a few flirts towards me from one of the nicest girls in the group, she's 20 !!
I play along with it, thinking naaa, it's just my imagination / she's just being friendly.
No she wasn't drunk either. :p
Long story very short, she invited me back to her place, and we slept on the sofa together :D (half age +7 rule for the :o) :D:D:D:D

So internet dating can go **** itself :D

I wouldn't worry, It didn't last.
Probably the cold light of day when she woke up the next morning changed her mind because although she said yes to meeting me at a gig my bro was playing at the next evening, an hour or two after leaving her place I got a text saying miraculously she couldn't make it either.

I'm not sure who played who there :o :D

Why are all the women I meet such a ****ing let down. :o

mine is a massive puzzle, only been talking online, yet to meet, but sometimes shes really chatty and pleasant, other times she's very dismissive and cold, she's consstantly moaning about being single and having no-one, but not engaging me and leading conversations :/ when I can, I'll ask her out, go on a few dates, see whether she picks up in person or not.

Sounds like most other women to me.

Update of recenet events...

Received an email around a Month ago with very little content. Checked out her profile which was also minimal.

Going against what I usually do when when I recieve a one sentence email, I emailed her back. After a couple of emails I phoned her and we talked for over 2 hours.

Been officially together since Christmas Eve :)

Early days but so far we're both on the same page (as such) and really enjoy spending time with each other. Just a shame I can't see her until the weekend because we both have busy weeks..

Got chatting to a woman on P.O.F. who was looking for "Friends" just for a laugh, as her profile was hilarious, we are now an item!

So it works but not perhaps as you thought it would!

Well, after having tried the "make an effort and write an original, witty opening message keyed off points in their profile" method many times, I think I'm going to have one last stab with a simpler method, on plenty of fail. Then I'm done. Pfft online dating online schmating!
