Haha, unread deleted is pretty much all you need to know.

Been messaging a girl, 5 or 6 exchanges down the line and she's agreed that we should definitely go for a drink. I want to suggest this weekend as I'm literally busy for the next 3 weekends, but it seems a bit close to suggest I think? How long do you guys leave usually...

Yeah of course, thats too close... best leave it for another 3 weeks so she can exchange message loads more messages with other guys, right?

Seriously, some of the lack of common sense on this thread is worrying. You've emailed her 6 times, she wants to meet for a drink, and you know you're busy for the next 3 weeks... so if you're free this weekend just go out for a drink now and strike while the iron is hot! All this "you need to wait xx time" BS was created by people who have serious delusions about either how sexy they are, or an unrealistic view of the female mindset. It's an urban myth that seems to be propogated by people who seem to be accepting it as gospel.

Waiting 3 weeks would be nothing short of stupid. You're not stupid... are you? ;)

I don't think you have to worry about this is a) you have some half decent pictures and b) a nicely written profile. From what I've seen many of the people who get read deleted haven't put much effort into their profile.

I'm not a Brad Pitt lookalike or millionaire and only ever had one read deleted and that was after I ignored her disclaimer about wanting someone less than 6' tall, which was fair enough.

To be honest mate I think your profile is really good. I would have worded some bits differently but that's me and in now way a dig at how you've written it.

How many emails do you get on a daily basis?

I'd show you my profile for a comparison but I deleted it when I left PoF.

Ah fair enough hm. Unprompted emails? Zero. I get a reply maybe 1/5 of the time.

Can I ask why you left PoF?

I signed up nearly 2 years ago and for the most part had good experiences. Dated more women than I thought possible but never found the right person and in the end around 2 Months ago I decided to step away from PoF. Mainly because there's only so many first dates you can go on before it gets old and expensive!

I also discovered I wasn't going to find anyone until I addressed some issues with my own life. Nothing major, just a few tweaks I needed to feel better about myself (mainly fitness).

I was lucky in the fact I got around 20 emails in for every one I sent out so mostly just dated women who had already shown an interest in me and as I'd never really dated until then (long term relationships before) I went a little dating crazy. At one point I was going on 3 dates a week with different women.

Sometimes I think about coming back to it and have just check out PoF to see if there are any new faces.. However I'm staying away for now.
