i have never once got a message first, and have had a total of 4 people replying (in a 3 month period)

Well, 3 weeks in and it's been a bit of an eye opener to say the least. Met 3 girls and text messaging going on with another 4 I've yet to meet but making arrangements to do so.

General trend seems to be if they message you first, nut job bunny boilers until they prove different. Had a "Catfish" type situation too! Reply ratio to my messages has been good so far. Not sure what I'm doing right but seems to be working OK so far thankfully.

Of the 3 girls I've met, I can see 2 of them becoming good friends if nothing else.

Enjoying this, good fun, but bloody expensive going out all the time.

Kind of. It basically reinforces the fact that the internet is full of people using it to live a fantasy and use it as a portal to be the person they wish they were. No matter how savvy you think you are, it's easy to get caught out by it or drawn into it. Very relevant when on internet dating sites!
