Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

Well, my feelings for the girl I was seeing changed pretty dramatically. She was very pretty, but very shy and I'm rather outgoing. It was not a good mix, and I eventually on the third date felt quite awkward around her.
I've given up on this site, it's not been without it's successes ;) but as an overall relationship website, I find it useless. My POF days are over, back to the old school. Stop being lazy, go out method. It's more fun with a chase anyway.

Isnt it a bit soon to judge after only three dates? :confused:

Personally I'm very shy at first but once I get to know someone better I'm more outgoing.

Come to the London meet and I'll play wingwoman :p

It says they are shallow ;).... least in my experience women are worse for the 'look'. Don't matter how interesting or varied you make am message nothing ever happens. I get more interest and phone numbers just by going up town with mates and having a laugh. Never had a 1 night stand and no intention of doing that. Had a **** buddy but guess i'm too picky. Or i'm just ugly.... i dunno....

No it was very obvious, I could see she was very intimidated by social situations and I do like a girl who has some confidence, even if it's only apparent after a while. It made me feel like I was 16 again. Odd.

Thanks for the offer, I'm good. Think your more than likely be to busy with all the guys in this thread than being my wingwoman. ;)

Haha, don't think I've ever had a stalker! If shes like that online, imagine what she is like in real life :eek:

When I was contacting girls, I would send one message only and leave it at that, never got any replies, but I just moved on.

I haven't got round to putting pics on my PoF and OkCupid profiles yet, but interestingly, I have had a couple of views. Need to get a few photos up, still procrastinating!

Got a date tomorrow night with a nice young lady. She contacted me first and had really pretty pictures up. Thought it was a wind up at first and I replied cautiously and she turned out to be delightful. And real. She sent me her number and I rung her up last night. Spent about 2 hours on the phone just taking the **** out of online dating and the freaks we had contacting us. Was such a lovely and easy conversation. She has THE most delightful laugh/giggle, and it doesn't sound male at all, I listened, carefully. She's an intensive care nurse and wanting to become a doctor.

Sounds a bit too good to be true right? I swear I'll feel cheated if she's not at least a pre-op tranny with a penis larger than mine.

I just ended up single this weekend. Was loved up for months then we just started arguing over daft things.

Love her to bits like but it just wasnt to be. Im hard work :)

Think ill be avoiding dating for a while til I have me life on track!
 
Well I signed up to a site for the shenanigans and complained about their crappy service on the first day and managed to get the whole month free. Loads of people talking to me so being cautious as ever since there is no girls on the internet lol ;)

will keep OCUK posted :D
 
Forgot to post about my date here. No surprise since there was no date. She cancelled at the last minute. I left it with her to let me know when she has time to reschedule.

However, not all doom and gloom. Met a Milf that's keen to meet up at any given moment. So we organised for a drink Sunday evening.
