Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

Am talking to a nice guy I found on PoF at the mo, been sending emails for the past couple of weeks and we've now swapped numbers.

Trouble is, I know that at some point soon he's going to call me and I find the 'first phone call' far more scary than actually meeting someone! In person I'm fine but over the phone I just clam up into shy mode :(

I sent the usual " like your profile and went along with a couple of "I like your interests" all in all a very innocuous email....

What do I get back..

Ha! I am really struggling with it. The girl I was meant to meet up with ended up getting back with her ex. I'm still in touch with her though so never say never.

The next girl I got chatting with was a TOTAL lunatic. A great laugh but a bit bunny boiler by her own admission. Also filthy but I didn't really fancy her.

Now I am feeling disheartened. I think everyone is punching above their weight if you know what I mean, me included.

Joking side for a moment, I've updated my profile, put some new non blurred pics up, and still not had one reply to any message, starting to think there is something seriously wrong with me now.
 
I've been seeing this lady I met on the net since last Thursday...went out Thursday until late...then went out again Saturday (I stayed over) and again, we went out on Monday (again stayed over!)...She's bloody brilliant, and American as well (which is good because I'm from the states as well...I've slowed it down a bit because I'm just out of a 4 1/2 year marriage, and its all a bit scary, so we're waiting until next Monday to see each other again :)

We'll see how it goes anyways...
 
I have been signed up to PoF for a little while now and have had about 10-15 girls who have messaged me but they have either been heffers or the interest dies after a few mails back and forth. I updated my profile with three new pictures the other day including a cheesy one of me in black and white holding a massive Toblerone in colour that is my main picture and I am getting a ton more hits! I have had about 6 girls message me in 3-4 days and spent a couple of days speaking to one in particular that seems nice. I was getting fed up of using the website on my phone(internet can be dodgy at times) so I asked her for her number and we have been texting for two days.

We made plans to meet up on Saturday for drinks and to just have a laugh. I think I will be quite nervous because I have never met up with a girl that I hardly know before. If it were a few years ago I would have been bricking it but I am less shy and more confident these days so I should be fine. I'll just have to down a couple of Southern Comforts before I head out :)

So yeah, it will be interesting to see how it goes.
 
I have been using online dating for ages now and I am probably going to give up soon. I have had tons of emails read deleted recently. :(

There's always my stalker if it comes to it. :D I actually quite like my stalker but I am a bit scared of her.
