Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

online messaging is boring people, for both parties! try and make it last no more then 4 days and you've got a number, and then get a date asap after that point. imo it's very unfair to judge someone based on an online dating message after a few as it's so unnatural that you really do need to click for something to keep going, but tbh i've always found most convo's are just silly jokes, nothing of any impotance even about a proper subject, e.g. one girl was into politics too which for me was the first i've ever met a girl who knows about politics, so when i messaged i made jokes about it but didn't really discuss the subject, that's for meeting up and is fun, online it's boring to discuss that rubbish.

thought i'd also say i've managed to get another date with a girl i discovered i think thursday, and saturday was wasted anyway as i accidentally blocked her, but ended up being a great excuse to have her number, then after 3 texts today date is booked for next sunday. only downside is i'm not sure how to play this 7 day wait until a date, do i keep text messaging about general chit chat, or do i go quite and perhaps send one or 2 over the week, but risk showing a lack of interest.

The wait between dates is terrible until you know where you stand with each other I reckon.

I met up with someone I knew from school 2 weeks back, been trying to sort out a 3rd time to meet up to no avail yet, she says she wants to meet up but doesn't seem too proactive to sort a day out. Sorted something out a week back only for her to say she didn't feel too good a few hours before. So I left texting for a couple of days because I figured she wasn't that bothered, only to speak a few days later and get told that MY behaviour is confusing?!

My advice, send a text every other day to bridge the gap, because if you're like me then texting has the uncanny ability to mess things up, so don't over do it.

Most likely. There's something I dislike about talking to women over the net for the first time. Maybe ill stick to random ****s in clubs

Best way is still to meet people through a hobby IMO. Common ground to start with. There is always quite a high risk that random girls in bars will tell you to **** off unless you are male model material anyways. :)

as a follow up to the lady i met on cupid 2 weeks ago, we entered a relationship a few days ago, very happy and only continues to improve, so much in common, we have become very close in a short space of time and well, i look forward to good things.

Not true at all, just need to know how to talk to women. I had a mate who looked like a less than handsome chap and yet used to pull nice girls in bars frequently just by being funny and charming.

Glad to hear it mate, but just keep yourself grounded for a bit... it's only been a few days, start celebrating when you hit the month mark. :)

To be fair, she probably is average body type! The 'average' uk women's size is like 14 (probably 16 now). And to think that I used to put down 'average' body type... :o

She doesn't look 5'10 either

Not browsed POF in a while, maybe I should take a look!

"YOLO!"
"I want someone who hates as much as me"
"Hobbies - I enjoy going out clubbing!"
"YOLO!!!"

Yup...

That's very upsetting. I feel sorry for the average guy if they have to end up with an average size like that, she is big imo.
I sometimes feel that guy get vindicated as shallow just for mentioning a women size in this day and age, but I don't see a fat girl when I look at her, I see a girl who cannot control herself, might be lazy, might not care about thing (since she doesn't seem to care about herself) has no drive, has no ambition.

I know this to be a generalisation, and not true in many cases, but that's just me.

Yeah. I have a fair amount of disdain for it, and before anyone says what do you look like, bet your not perfect, (I know I'm not) but I spend 4 nights a week in a gym.
