and fresh donuts! The place near the course does nice fresh donuts for 2 quid haha golf 4 quid each, so only gunna cost me tenner! :)

even if she doesn't show ill still play golf and eat donuts ;) haha
I think you should keep moving up, mini-golf, surfing, snow-boarding, mountain climbing, sky-diving, base-jumping then finally becoming a circus duo of death (shooting out of cannons).

I like to think that if you are sensible, the person you decided to have kids with should be the person you can tolerate for the larger part of your life. If it broke down quickly then they are either a poor judge of character or open as regularly as Tesco.

I don't do baggage, but then I can't stand kids under ~12. As you get older, finding women without kids is much more difficult, so I'd say go for those who don't still have dependent children if you look at "mothers" at all.

The only reason for the way I worded my reply that way is that I've seen a few women with a kid and they just don't put any effort in. I'm glad they put their kid first as that's how every mother should be but having a date once a month and a very short one at that with no real or obvious commitment is hard to find motivation for.
I wouldn't have any problem being with a woman with a kid from someone else, hell if it turned long term I'd treat the kid as my own but finding someone genuine these days is hard.

why not bowling?

You bowl. I bowl. You bowl, I bowl.

The only conversation is in your head and even that only lasts two words... "Nice ass".
Also remember to stop looking before she turns around - it's not polite on a first date

yeah, you should know before hand that you'll have a good view otherwise you're just wasting your time fumbling with dirty balls and bashing some wood

what if a chick is fat a whale or has no bum at all? whats the view? bowling is a bit... erm quick and not really a place where you can chat..

nice chilled bar... an outside bar would be even better in this weather :) chat, food, drinks.. and then go for something like bowl.. but bowling alone will get you nowhere..

Went on a date to watch some of the marathon with a girl this afternoon! Pretty fun one off first date as there was loads of time to chat and be silly, plus we saw the person she sort of knew who was running.

Probably should turn one of these first dates into a second though....

So I don't make the classic mistake, whats the normal amount of time to message women again to do something more??

this is why mini golf is good! can look at her behind but make it seem like your watching the ball! ;)
also you can see what sort of arm techniques she has..... also if you want to be very flirtatious you can do the old "stand behind them and help them swing" but i dont think ill be doing that, i really struggle for confidence as it is around women and the fact i hardly know this girl is going to make just that bit more nerve racking! and its my first date using online dating....ill be bricking my pants most of saturday and sunday morning though!

IMO bowling is better for a second or third date followed by a drink at a bar.

okay good points. obvious points but I hadn't considered really! I am so clueless!

I have been on 1 date so far though and it tanked. it was dinner which was far too much for me to deal with! Was aiming to find something where there's a bit less "pressure" initially but bowling possibly a bit too far the other way

there is no definitive "what to do" on a first date, each person is different, if the girl was excited or seemed interested in bowling or even suggested it then im sure it will be good!

every activity has pro's and con's!

the first date i ever officially went on was a day in plymouth drake circus, browsing the shops, i came back with a very expensive superdry hoody...then followed by dinner at pizza hut and we went to see the inbetweeners movie. i kind of already knew the girl as we worked together, and she was lovley and i did like her...if only she was single now....but this was when i had split up with my ex of 4 years for a couple of months and a friend suggested i asked her out, things with the girl didnt work out though as i was still in love with my ex etc.. and me and my ex did get back together and were together for 2 years after this.

but that was the last date i have been on, so technically i havent been on a date with a new girl in two and a half years! probably longer but i dont remember exact dates....

but this will be my first date in two and a half years......so im quite nervous! and my date isnt for another 7 days...haha
