Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

yeah it's such a simple thing, and tbh it's smoething you can make fun. i've never heard of anyone doing this but an idea would be to make an event for it, kind of like before you propose you'll perhaps buy them flowers, take them to diner, set up a special place to ask etc, you can some thing a lot less serious but fun and then ask them to be your girlfriend. i've never known anyone to ask a girl to go from dating to girlfriend and ever get rejected so this is the easiest thing to do, making a deal out of it makes it less awkward imo and i'd say it is a good way to start the relationship

That's why I asked the question, same thing always happens to me. I think the 'us' thing sounds a bit more respectable and less child like.... If it doesn't work you owe me a girlfriend though.

This has never happened before!

I've spoken to a girl within the last 4hrs and we pretty much got on really well in messaging, so I basically put the offer forward that if she was going to a place that I might like tomorrow, we might aswell meet up.

She said yes :eek:

Sod it, no point sending emails back and forth week after week as what usually happens, This is when the conversation starts to turn sour in email or nothing to see when we meet up, if the date doesn't work out, it never will ;)

i remeber being in the playground, and girls coming up to me and being like "so and so fancies you!" then i would have a girl friend for a couple of weeks haha, back when snogging was the most important thing you could do....

now where did i put that time machine????
 
I went out with this girl on the date and well there was no spark, she also had very dry hands like someone who had left them in cleaners all day lol. She also at times just walked off!

I just got a message asking if I'd like to see her again, to give her a text on her mobile number

mad, didn't think she was that interested. It seems when I'm not that bothered they come to me hah

Thanks guys (these responses are on page 214, viewing 80 posts per page). Yes, it is probably a bit of me being too picky, although I think my main problem is that I've fancied girls but never had to nerve to tell one of them that I like her. I know the worst that can happen is that she'll say "no" (if she doesn't slap me as well!), but I'll also wound up gutted for days after that as well!

I also have this problem. Although I can technically have kids, I've been advised by my geneticist not to as I have 50/50 chance of passing my disabilities on.
