I lost a good friend once by texting her, "you know you really do have fantastic [boobs]", while drunk.
Crikey.... if the women I know where upset by comments like that I would have lost them all a long time ago!
I'm sure there were several other texts that night that didn't help, but yeah, my close girl mates these days talk about all sorts of things with me and any subject within reason seems to be fair game without fear of offence!

Girlfriends mother. She ran out of credit one night whilst she was home for the summer from Uni, was comming to visit me at the weekend and used her mothers phone to send a few texts, basically describing what we were going to do to each other. But she never deleted the messages before giving the phone back.
The mother showed the dad the messages with asking if he knew the number.
It didnt end well I can tell you!

My advice? Put out.
For those on POF, how long do you normally wait before deciding that someone isn't going to reply to your first message to them? Do you bother messaging them again when they don't reply or do you decide to just accept it and move on?
Just I sent two messages yesterday to two different people and neither have replied yet but both have been logged in today (I only have the basic membership so I can't see if they have read or deleted my message). I know it's only been one day, but having been messed about on POF before, I just want to make sure I'm not waiting for a reply that will never come.
I do spend a bit of time writing each message as its the first impression that counts, so it will be a bit annoying if I don't even get a "thanks but no thanks" message back. Maybe my approach is all wrong though, or I'm appearing a bit too keen?

Worst thing you can do is send a message again to someone who hasn't replied.... it's a big internet dating faux-pas People do not reply to messages for a reason, ie: they do not find you good-looking or interesting enough to bother with, so just accept it and move on instead of being annoying or appearing desperate by hassling people. Girls get a ton of messages, and just because you think your carefully crafted message is worthy of at least a cursory reply, this does not mean that everyone else will.
