*** Internet Explorer 9 Final Released ***

you not been reading the thread then? the javascript engine is considerably slower in x64..... you only have to look up a few posts.

Actually Marc I have been reading the thread but you didn't read my post. Did I say anywhere in it I was using the JS engine? The JS engine being slightly slower really doesn't worry me as the amount of stuff I do that usese JS is very, very minimal. Flash on the other hand would have bothered me as most sites use this that I visit.

Are you actually using the x64 bit version though? Just because you downloaded and installed the x64 version doesn't mean that's what you are using. W7 x64 will use 32b IE by default. You have to specifically choose to launch x64 IE from the start menu:

You are literally amazing :p

All I was saying is that not everyone knows that x64 Windows 7 has a seperate x64 browser and saying that you are using Ie9 x64 because you are using W7 x64 is incorrect.

Did you read my post? I know!! I was asking should i pin the 64bit IE9 to the taskbar and use that!!! You are literally literall

Ahh, got you now :p

It's up to you. You don't have to use the IE9 x64 browser. Some people discourage it as plugins don't work the same (or at all). Personally, I've never had any issues apart from when I'm using Web Apps which rely on the browser version being x86

I wonder why Microsoft can't (or won't) make their latest browsers work with older version of their OS, Mozilla seem to manage it with Firesoft? ;)

Personally, I am perfectly happy with Firefox 4 RC1 - it even works with LINUX

Can't believe people like the new UI layout :/ It just looks mashed together compared to all other browsers (IE8 included). not botherig with IE9 untill it's a critical requirement. Chrome and FF4 on all machines here.
