iPad Mini...

Those prices are cheaper than i expected. I thought it would be a starting price of £329 (16Gb) and replace the iPad 2.

Is there any justification for them not including a micro sd slot?

If it had a micro SD people wouldn't buy the higher capacity models. It's a business decision to maximise profits.

I was hoping the £150 mark as these were going to be presents for this christmas. Looks like I won't be buying them if they are above £150.

No chance... The iPod Nano is £130

£229 is reasonable for the base model. Thats the price i would hope for, not that im getting on.

If those eu prices are true they will need to also add UK taxes so they will be more expensive.

And one less point of weakness for hackers to exploit. And it allows them to make the devices thinner.

So what prices are we looking at for us Uk'ers?

It's between this and the Nexus 7 for the GF for Christmas. This is winning as she has the 4S and has been downloading shows from iPlayer onto her phone recently, and it's not looking likely that the BBC won't be rolling out the download function to Android in the near future.

It seems there is a €50-€60 difference between the iPod touch in France/Germany and the UK. So perhaps the UK will see the base 8GB Wifi mini at £199 which is about £50 dearer than the Nexus 7.

I know for definite that the ipad mini will be sold at Comet they have the SKU setup on the system but price is set at £9999.99 so they are on order. when i have more info will post

Well that pic on mobile geeks shows cellular... maybe I'm back in. Although an extra 100euro.... maybe not.

£299 for for a 16GB with 4G and I'll think about it.

Isn't it amazing how adding 56gb more storage costs a staggering 300 euros - more than DOUBLE the price of the 8gb model? Madness. More than 5 euros per gb!

Probably looking likely that you could get the 32GB Nexus for the same price as the 8GB well.....

I know its not going to happen but an iPad Mini with Retina, A6 CPU and all day battery would be an instant purchase. If it is a smaller iPad 2 then I will wait until next year.

All day battery?? I know my ipad2 is bigger but

I know ipad2 battery is better than iPad 3 battery but that's still 30 hours usage and I might scrape 20 days on that charge. I've always been quite surprised and impressed but the battery of this thing.

iPad 3 battery was terrible. Within 3-4 days usage it was quite noticeable how much worse it was comparing to an ipad 2. Ended up getting my iPad 2 back from my brother and gave him the iPad 3.

Hope the iPad mini battery life will be better than the iPad 2 fingers crossed
