iPhone 3GS - Available on Orange soon

Orange did blow it, Vodaphone have always had crap tariffs so they will never offer better than is currently on offer.

Orange should have offered much better deals, as its stands the Orange offerings are worse than the O2 ones, 750MB fair usage...? yeah right...

Basically if you want an iphone on contract O2 is still the best to go for.

But Orange's 3G network is better overall. I'd say the choice is entirely down to coverage, on average Orange is better but it pays to check your own house, work, uni, commute etc.

Really is quite shocking, not sure what I was expecting either it clearly wasn't going to be a great deal better.

I'll give it a miss I cant warrant spending that much on a phone when im most likely to go over my txt allowance meaning my bill will be more.

Am I missing something but on the tarrifs page it says "Wi-Fi" "Unlimited" is that meant to be a selling point?

Does not quite work like that mate, but your right apple do have conditions that have to be meet, you will see movment in price's but not this early on...and i have to back in the office and do it all over again in 7 hours:( lol

Think yourself lucky the phone wasn't released at 6:02pm like the original iPhone was. :D

At least we got a free curry in the office though.

How many people use more than 500 text a month? That's at least 16 a day, every day. I very rarely send 16 text in one day, let alone every day, some days I don't send any! Not a cost thing, as I have unlimited text.

I've often thought the same thing but then I've seen friends who are literally texting all day/evening/whatever. Even 1 or 2 SMS messages per day are a lot for me!

My brother used his 500 in a week.

Some people do text a lot, I'm one of them. I've been known to send 1800+ texts in a month.

Back on topic, the tariffs are shockingly bad. I'll stick with T-Mobile I think.

Referral to the OFT, anyone?

In most other cases, this sort of thing could be seen as an anti-competitive price fixing cartel, and the Competition Commission would be down on them like a ton of bricks. Time will tell, I guess.

I jumped ship from Orange to O2 to get on the iPhone bandwagon. Don't see anything there that makes me want to jump back.

Actually, that brings on an interesting point. Will iPhone owners from one network ever be allowed to keep their phone and jump ship to another? (sorry if this has already been addressed)

Hmm, seems I'll probably look for an alternative phone then, seeing the Orange contracts aren't exactly much cheaper..... though I wasn't expecting much anyway

IPhone or a HTC Hero it seems are the best smart phones for a student? (texting, web browsing and music)

Well thats me crossing the iphone of my list, what stupid pricing. I hope the n900 lives upto expectation!

Lol do you not think orange has a team to check and communicate with them before they do a major launch, the beauty of forums eh?

Off topic had a walk around the call centre today dam these things are selling well, and lets be honest they are not bargin of century was a nice supprise :D

What annoyed me is the fact that even though ive been on orange for a few years, i cant upgrade to the iphone at a cheaper price in any form. Quite annoyed that even as an upgrade i have to pay the same as a new customer.
