Personally looking forward to a more metal build, I like how the 4s looks but the glass on the back really doesnt work for me, hell with finger prints, and doesnt feel very comfy.

except that the S3 has even worst battery life than the 4S, that itself is why I would never go samsung, plus its very plastic, we all know the iphone casing will be quality!
 
Oooh something else I want.

I want an iPhone 5 owners' thread that doesn't get trashed by Android trolls popping up from the Android forum purely to annoy people, with nothing being done about it.

I don't think the technology is quite there yet mind. ;)
 
Not this one, I mean when it comes out and the owners thread gets filled with "OMG MY GALAXY S2 TOTALLY OWNS THIS" and other such utter drivel.
 
Not sure about the new phone. I dont want to be disappointed like the 'new ipad' again.

Miss when there were BIG changes between the hardware, not just 'quad core GPU, dual core CPU' and gimmick addons that don't work well outside of the US. Don't really want to go on about that, but Siri is a joke (can't look up non US businesses for AGES) and all this '4g' hype - Erm I can hardly get a signal where I live, let alone '2g/edge/w.e', 4g service is probably years away, if not decades...by which point 6g will be out :S.

Its looking like the new phone will just have the A5X in it...and they will keep mentioning how its 'quad core'. The bigger screen size is great and would be quite happy with that, but I'm quite worried about resolution? I heard it would only be 'taller' and not wider, wont this have problems for video?

The leaked images hardly look like much of a redesign, I'm not sure how well it will go down, moving the headphone jack to the bottom of the phone hardly makes it a redesign. I get why its probably not a good idea to change it since the iPhone 4 design is so good, but its a little disappointing. I'm losing a bit of faith in Apple now that their hardware is beginning to go down the route of their software. The software is constantly held back on features, copy and paste for example took ages. iOS6 is only just allowing you to send file attachments through mail now? Just not sure where Apple will be in a few years time without Jobs :(

I did actually just to see if it was any good, IMO its poor in comparison to iPhone, Samsung for the price should have put a better case on it

Maybe so, there's no denying the likes of the iPhone 4/4S and HTC One S (metal) feel more premium, but Samsung like to keep the weight down and keep it durable, which it is.

If the aesthetics are the most important thing then it's not going to suit everyone, but you can't just dismiss it as rubbish, because if you consider the other features, it's actually rather excellent, and there's a reason a lot of iPhone users seem to be jumping ship.

Apple have to do a great job with the iPhone 5, not just with the hardware but with the software too. If iOS 6 doesn't have anything more than we've seen, and the design doesn't look particularly great (the leaks seem to divide opinion) then they might find themselves in a spot of bother. However, if they nail all the features I outlined in the opening post, most importantly the larger screen and greatly improve the battery life, most people will be happy.
 
What apple will do is rob the jailbreak community and add "new features" which have existed on Cydia for ages! Its what they are good at!

A new revolutionary "SATNAV/MAPS" app which will be no different to any satnav app at the moment.

SIRI will no doubt be upgraded so that it can tell you a bed time story on a night.

They might add a few widgets to the homescreen to show you the lastest on the Samsung vs Apple court case's from around the globe.

It will probably be made of glass again so will f"eel like a premium product" because its heavy and we all know that heavy = quality.

^ Modern phone designs always look plain these days ...but once you see it and pick it up, regardless of final design, I'm sure you'll love it (same thing happened with the One X/S, even the SGS3 if you forget about the netbook gloss finish :p)
 
Yeah, I think the finished article will look a lot better.

I'd be honestly shocked if Apple managed to bodge the design on arguably their biggest phone release to date.
