*** iPhone 5 - Revealed! ***

After seeing the black one in the flesh, I'm glad I opted for white.

The weight difference is certainly noticeable, as is the thickness. The height difference doesn't feel massively different, quite well proportioned.

Shame mine won't arrive until next week :(

A guy who I work with has put a small mark on the band of his within an hour of having it. I don't think the black ones are going to wear ever so well tbh.
 
DPD did a sterling job for me today. Called me up in the morning to let me know they had it and was out for delivery. Called again and let me pick up earlier than my allotted time!

What a day. Told the mrs to stay in while I went to work.

At 11am I got a call.. "I missed the delivery driver by 10 mins" :mad:

Called up my local UKMail centre and the guy agreed I could collect it between 5 and 6:30. Great, don't mind that as I finish at 4 anyway and it's on the way home.

Checked my email and my mrs had rung UKMail and asked the driver to go back. Very impressed they did that.

It's now sat at home waiting :D:)
 
I've just used one (a friends) - white - looks great in white :)

not sure about screen though - it didn't seem much bigger than my Iphone 4 - I was expecting more of a difference

now wondering whether worth the faff to upgrade
 
I wish I had ordered a white also, apples return policy is spot on usually so wouldn't have been a hassle to get it returned. Did any of the apple stores have display models? Would like to have a look at the white in the flesh.
 
Waiting until lunch time and visited my local O2 store in the city only to find 2 people in the queue. Was happy to wait 5-10 minutes and then come out with a brand new 16GB black iPhone

Yeah but I still wouldn't buy a scuffed one in a years time. There have always been plenty of immaculate iphones in the past. The only way I'd touch a black one now is if you are going to have it in a skin. I have to do that for my job, which is a shame because the phones are a lovely bit of kit and it's a shame to skin them. Yet if this one is even more fragile you might not have a choice.

I imagine they will rectify the manufacturing in a couple of month.
 
Been playing about with it and must say compared to the iPhone 4 it is so fast, shocking how quick Safari is. I don't think my actual comp loads up pages that quick! The quality of the phone is amazing, hearing it might scratch easily and I'd rather not test that if I'm being honest but hopefully not as bad as people are saying.

iOS 6 is pretty much the same as before with a few nice touches. That has probably been the let down for me as the phone is excellent so far. Maps is ok, not as bad as some people are making it out but I'd prefer to have Google maps back. You can see why they'd want to change but I think they probably did this a year too early and should have developed their maps more first.
