I think a couple of days battery life in a high end smartphone would be the game changer.
Next Generation iPhone Enclosure Measured at 7.6 mm Thick
Apple.pro posts scans of a story that first appeared in Chinese-language newspaper Apple Daily. That publication obtained one of the many "iPhone 5" enclosures that have been available over the past few weeks and took measurements of them.
The iPhone 4S measures 9.3mm in depth, so a 7.6mm thin phone would represent an 18% reduction in thickness. The width of the new iPhone is expected to be about the same as the iPhone 4S, but the height will increase in order to fit a 4" diagonal screen.
One manufacturer we spoke to said that he was sure that the leaked images were accurate – so sure that he was already preparing to construct iPhone 5 cases and he’d be willing to ship replacements for free if they turned out not to be perfect.
Why couldn't they just keep the same thickness of the phone and whack in a bigger battery to ensure that the device could last more than a couple of days between charges... As said above, it would be a game changer in the smart phone world where charging overnight seems very common...
(I charge mine every 2.5 days at the moment so I'm not too fussed, 3 days would be nice though and would anyone REALLY notice a thinner phone? and by that I mean would they notice a real world difference in using it)

Thirded, I wouldn't upgrade to retina just because of the screen though. But you can see the pixels on ipad2, ipad3 is much clearer.
iDownloadBlog.com said:Both big media and bloggers agree that with the next iPhone release come this September, Apple is going to debut a brand new dock connector to replace the aging 30-pin iPod connector present on existing devices. The company will allegedly deploy the new dock connector across all future iOS devices.
Built with space in mind, the new connector is said to have 19 pins. A new report was just published sporting a crisp shot of the new dock connector with a metal ring inside the casing cutout, suggesting the cable could attach magnetically, just like the MagSafe connector for Apple’s notebooks…

How awesome would it be to have the magnetic catch on the iPhone?!
I am completely ambivalent about this. Big whoop?
I imagine it would stop the problem of having to have light to see which way the power cable goes in.
This would be great... when ever I charge the phone at night the other half is already in bed, the lights are off and I have to fumble around trying to get it in the right way
I imagine it would stop the problem of having to have light to see which way the power cable goes in. As magsafe cables can go in either way I believe
This way you just click it up to your phone and you're ready to go Would be great in my opinion *Shrug*
I see what you did there fnarr narr
I find myself here thinking, do I care what they've changed? I have the 4 at the moment, after 2 years the battery is showing signs of degradation (or I'm just using it more...?) so I'm looking to replace it.
S3 just feels too big and Android in general I have no issues with, but nothing really shouts at me as a big enough USP to make me switch with the additional costs of any app replacements/accessories/etc.
I think it will take a monumental balls up on Apples part for me to not get this. Am I sheep? Maybe. Do I care? Not really
Seems like this new iPhone 5 has been leaking everywhere these - is anyone else surprised? I'd of thought Apple would have kept a tight lid on everything again.
