*** iPhone 5 - Revealed! ***

Just contact Apple and ask for a replacement and see if theyll swap it for a white - they seem to be more than reasonable. My request for refund was actually pleasant. I was very tempted to do the same but Im just not happy dealing with a manufacturer defect...

ps3ud0

iPhone 4s in flight mode in my draw. 6 days 6 hours standby, 20% left!
How much battery does having phone signal actually use? I wonder if its possible to get a week out of one with just phone mode switched on

Anyone know what my rights are as regarding swapping my black for a white? I don't think a cool off period is in effect as I bought the phone out right rather than on contract?

If you bought it online then you have 7 days under the DSR (but Apple extend to 14). If you bought in store you also have 14 days to return. If you ask nicely they will probably let you swap rather than refund the black and then you buy the white. Having had the black 5 for almost a week I'm happy to keep it. Have you had any issued with yours?

sitting in the draw probably means the screen hasnt been used, which is a big drain on power

I bought it in store at O2 without a contract. I have a very tiny mark right on the edge of the join at the bottom. You'd have to really look hard though. In two minds whether to swap or keep.

Screen and processor aren't being used so no wonder it lasts so long.

I would liek to see a test where phone services were the only thing turned on (no locaiton, mobile data or wifi) and phone is left alone for a week

My guessing is that it doesnt last a week as it would in flight mode.

I hate not knowing what garbage is using up battery

So I logged a case with apple support regarding my iPhones purple camera flare/haze and was asked to clean the lens with a damp cloth  . Then restore the device and they'll get back to me later - fairly confident this is a hardware issue as its pretty widespread according to the interwebs, below is an example - the light is completely out of frame:

My HTC wildfire did that, was fixed with a software update.

Just got round to fitting a new home button to my 4. What a utter PITA that was. Not hard or anything, just very fiddly!

Glad i did it though as the button was a bit intermittent at time. More piece of mind when selling now!

Anyone finding iOS6 making the edges of the screen less sensitive?
It appears that selecting certain boxes, such as text replies can be rather diffiult and often requires an upwards swipe rather than the usual press in the box?

Only seen in iOS6.

Nice work, I did the same last year. I used to work in a Nokia repair centre and still found the iPhone hard work.

Yeah, just incredibly fiddly with the tiny screws. Worse part was the amount of double sided tape holding everything in one place. Really thought i was going to break the phone when prying that out. The little tab was no use...

I really feel like keeping the 4. It's still a superb phone but I unfortunately just have no use for it. Selling to a mate for £180 on monday. Would rather it went that way instead of going to the bay...

Yea, i noticed it a bit, especially in the podcasts app. Some of the buttons i just can't get them to register the press. But i think it's just a crappy app. 3rd party apps work fine.

It seems to me that you need to be more precise with your clicks in iOS 6... and the fact that Apple seems to be making the buttons smaller.
