*** iPhone 5 - Revealed! ***

I'll be getting one myself on launch day from CPW, a black 16GB one. I promise to post some pictures when I do!

Me too :D

Does anyone have any idea if the contract providers will be releasing their pricing on these tomorrow?

CPW texted me earlier today to say that they will be calling me to arrange the contract for my pre ordered iPhone 5 tomorrow. This leads me to believe that the providers must be releasing their pricing tomorrow.

Just got off the phone with orange.

As i have a year left on my contract with them i was told it would be £469 to get an early upgrade and it would be £47 a month for 24months which is a bit of a joke tbh.

The phone sim free is £529 and i can keep my current contract and get a nano sim FOC from orange with the same number and contract i have now.

I only pay £24 a month for my iphone 4s deal now, so going from that to £47 is a no go.

Did they say when they'd be sending them out? I want to do exactly what you're doing.

Cheers!

I have a £265 Apple Voucher so will use that to buy one on launch day (supplementing it with some extra money). Will go join the queue in the morning and get it before work.

***iPhone 5 pre-order time***

Just got off the phone to Apple, they said that they can't release any details about online store pre orders, but phone lines will start taking orders from 8AM

I then asked if he had to guess a time and the guy said just after midnight. If not then, he said 8AM the following day :)

I remember trying to preorder on the Apple store app last year.

Basically ground to a halt until 11am. It was the longest meeting we've ever had ;)

The woman told me to ring back tomorrow as that's when they will have all the info. :)

I did ask if they would be ready to shipping by atleast saturday and she said i dont have that information just yet :)

Update: Pocket-lint's been told that those looking to grab the EE iteration will need to initially register with either Orange or T-Mobile, with your service bizarrely migrating across on a later, as-yet unconfirmed, date. This is because its new 4G network won't be ready when the iPhone 5 first hits shops on September 21st. Before that, you'll have to make do with HSPA+ speeds.
