iphone down to £169

No idea, but I find using iTunes to manage my music as well as the other iPhone bits and bobs to be a real pleasure (better than Active Sync/Windows Vista Mobile Centre)

never used itunes till yesterday when i bought the iphone - it appears to be very slick and simple to use. Like it a lot.

Jailbroke my iPod last night and its superb.

Having a strange issue though, when I get a call off someone it displays their number, but not their name. It seems as though I don't have them in contacts, but in actual fact I do. Anyone heard of this problem at all?

non of my contacts have come across either - is there any way of getting the contacts off the sim or is it a case of manual inputing all the names and numbers??

There's a program called iSim that'll do it - but it costs. Best bet is to sync your old phone with Outlook then sync the iPhone with the PC.

I put in all mine manually in the end, it doesn't take that long once you get going and get used to it. The good thing is that itunes syncs it and remembers it, so even after a restore you will get the contacts back without having to type it all in again.

The program allows you to copy over SIM contacts one by one, takes a little longer but surely quicker than typing the numbers in again.

But Im confused, once contacts get transfered into the iPhone they are effectively the same as the contacts in your MS Outlook basically?
