Once the novelty runs out it does start to look a lot less "great", but then so does everything else I suppose.

I took it back cus I couldnt justify the £35 pm, considering I wouldnt use any of the minutes and have already got two contracts with decent phones.

Touch seemed like a much better option, just wish i hadnt bought a nano on release.

Got about 4 ipods to get rid of now :p

I took my first back as i couldn't afford it.

My Mum bought me another though when she was visiting!

It's been a pain in the ass to cancel though, i said at the store when i took it back does it cancel the contract and he said yes, i then proceeded to email O2 just to make sure and they also said yes. But then i logged into O2 on the account i signed up with and it says they are going to debit £36 on the 24 november. So i email again and they said i have to email this other o2 email address.

Just waiting now to see if they debit my account.

Also i can't change my payment details.

check if there is a direct debit setup on your bank account, if so cancel it. its o2s fault they cant charge you for it, although can charge you for service that you have used "e.g. a wks line rental"

I still can't get my bloody ntl email account setup on it

I had some email problems, try using smtp.o2.co.uk with your O2 username/password as the outgoing SMTP server if you haven't already - worked for me, had to also click "Yes" to "Are you sure you don't want to use SSL" message about 4 times also.

Using an unlocked iphone on o2 pay and go so im not sure of my user name and password for it.

Cheers, just did that!

Just going to check to see if my mum has the O2 direct debit on her account.

Just seen on Mac Rumours that following a legal battle, you can now get officially unlocked iPhones in Germany. I wonder if any of the service providers over here will challenge the '02 only' system we have here. It might make the contract market a bit more agressive.

As far as I understand, the laws in Germany is more strict on the terms and condition T-Mobile have laid out over there - they're monopolising the market there with 1 product exclusive to them. Where as over here in the UK, it's too grey for a strong case when compared to Vodaphone's position in Germany.

Seems to be quite a few people taking their iPhone back - so im just gunna get this in:

I freaking love my iPhone. It is awesome.

:D

Best. Phone. Ever.
I love mine too, just a shame it wasn't available on any O2 UK contract to be honest :o

Wow this is annoying - just synced after buying a song off the wireless itunes music store as a test. It asked me to authorise the machine (again!) then all seemed well. Now the song is nowhere to be found on either my iphone or my computer...

And, these ringtone tricks. They show up in itunes as an option to put them onto my iphone but don't actually reach my iphone after syncing...

Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

I think the ringtones sync trick was broke after the last iTunes update.. that's at least my guess.

If you can't find the purchased song anywhere (try spotlighting the track name) then I'd contact Apple directly as they don't allow repeat downloading of purchases.

I'm on windows and i've reported a problem with it already via the button in the itunes purchase history  not very happy about that.

It's a bit annoying, I have lost some stuff I purchased (TV shows mainly) and I can't download them again because it's strictly 1-download-per-purchase :(
