the star mazda handles like its on rails!!!
im going to start racing now and stop being cautious about my safety rating...
Even at Class C gaining safety rating is easy. It's when you are Class A 4.99 that you are cautious
SR starts to annoy you eventually. I thought it was a great idea at first, but it just gets to the stage where everyone is too frightened to actually race in case they lose some SR. 1X Off Tracks are the worst. Racing at Spa, my favourite track, is no fun anymore because following the normal racing line around the track gives you at least 3x per lap. Everyone is frightened of overtaking, and all the (usually American) idiots start going crazy at you for trying to overtake them just so they don't get a 4x. It's a ridiculous state.
i agree on the spa comment, ive just been going round there in the star mazda and im getting at least 2x on each lap, but im just taking my normal racing line...
ive not had a race on any thing but the mx5 yet, but every body was over taking and going for gaps from what i saw especially on spa...
Wait till you get to A class, I drove a race at spa the other day in the MX5, no contact with anyone, only off tracks and I lost a full point of SR. When you're racing the F1 or the Indycar people get too scared to overtake, or to defend when their overtaking. Too many times I try to overtake someone and they just let me pass, where's the fun in that?

Spa can be a little annoying but I don't find it difficult not getting off tracks. Granted in the Jetta I get about 2 incidents in a 45 minute race but in that car the faster line involves riding the curbs which is very close to an off track. However with the DP I could do a full race without an incident. Just all about practice.
Anyway, that's why I really enjoy league racing, especially in the Jetta as you can get away with a bit of rubbing . iRacing needs a proper touring car! Only one FWD car is a shame. The problem is with the Americans crying that it isn't RWD with a V8. So annoying
Also, anyone feel free to add me on iRacing. Name is Oliver Amos. Be good to possibly race with you guys.

whats the radical like to drive???
I agree some people are like that, one of several reasons why I prefer to stay at the D/C class level of racing, far more fun racing
But even at the higher levels I've had some good battles, just rarer.
I quite like it, be interesting to see how it changes when it gets the ntm (possibly next build), but I think it'll still be good fun. Downside being it's much harder to find an official race in (and they're not every day of the week).
wow so i bought 3 cars star mazda, radical and the v8 ford falcon..
mazda and radical are wicked but that damn ford is terrible...
mind you ive had a bad day on this today, ive got a lot of learning to do...
Talking about usb resolution reminded me about the bodnar cable:
http://www.leobodnar.com/products/DFPG25conn/
It increases the resolution of the pedals which gives a more precise feel. Gave me a few extra tenths per lap. Thought I might share for those that might be interested
I would be interested in them purely for ease of setting up as in just the Power and USB from the G25 and the bodnars under the desk for the pedals and shifter.
