iRacing

How do you join a hosted session and I'll try to jump on when I get back home?

Do we need the name of the session?

Suppose also, can rookies like me jump in?

Cheers...

On the main page click hosted look for my name john dolan you will see its Mosport track and for cars HPD Lotus and Radical and when you click join you will see a box to type in a password which is vroc.

Rookie licence drivers can join it but i think you need to own all the cars i selected to join it but im not sure on this as i think iracing either changed that rule or are about to.

Please join if you can OCUK are all most welcome on any hosts i make.:)

any licence level can join, you will need all content though.

To find it go to the iracing main page, then Hosted -> Join a Race

In that list there will be johnny's session, click the green button, enter the password, and then click join as per every other session :)

Thanks guys, joined for a bit but suffering from a headache so didn't stay on long.

ah sweet let me know how you get on with it mate pls...

Ok...

WOW.

It gives much more control when braking, it feels more "real" to the point where it seems as though you are kind of cheating to how it was before.

I assume it is more like fixing the pedals to work more like a better set of pedals would so this is a mod which gets a thumbs up in my book as the cost of a better set of pedals would be much more than £30.

Can someone already using one confirm this and I am not just suffering from a placebo effect.

It does give you a lot more control. I can't remember the exact numbers but it does increase the resolution of the pedals by quite a lot (it at least doubles it afaik). It's the best way to improve your pedals without physically modding them.

I could easily spend SO much money on this hobby if I had it spare. I'd love some CSP's and I would kill for three monitors. That's like £600 of equipment right there though!

I'm seriously annoyed that I'm probably going to miss the first week of season one. I have to send my G27 off for warranty replacement and I doubt i'll get it back in time. Half the series are running Watkins Glen as well which is my favourite track :(

When I press the throttle to 100% the registered input flutters from anywhere between 100% to 90%. It's probably the pots which you can replace yourselves if you have the tools but the thing is it voids your warranty if you do and I didn't want to end up buying another £200+ wheel if something went wrong with anything else.
