Yeah, the good bits far outweigh the bad, and I sometimes need to remind myself that we're not real race drivers, some of us at least partially because we're not good enough to be. And stuffing it into the wall at the exit of the last corner, when running 2nd in a train of 6 cars, luckily not collecting anyone else, is a perfect way to remind myself of that
So yeah, 3 clean races followed by one not so clean (4 incs, 2 off-tracks and a contact), not bad but I was hoping to get a few more clean ones
they always turn out good races tho...
The protest system, although some dubious results, is one of the best features of iRacing, the whole point of the online system, with the SR, and the sporting code is to enforce good driving. I think if there's an obvious intentional wreck then it should be protested, as well as overly abusive text/chat (eg not what you're doing, but if you go off on one at someone).
But then you need to be sure, in the last 3.5 years or so I've protested 3 people, all for intentional wrecks, there was one other where I felt he dumped me on purpose (oval race, 'bump and run') but it was too close to call between that an intentional wrecking.
In most cases I'm not looking for a ban or anything, just a message that might in future make them be a bit more reasonable/cool headed, that's all I ask. I don't mind an aggressive driver, but I do get very annoyed with intentional wrecking.
Anyway, the Radical, still really enjoying it, and to the point now where I can comfortably lap at a decent pace without making many mistakes, I think it's a bit odd at times but overall great fun, think that was my 4th race and tempted to do the 1:30 one as well, definitely gonna do a complete season
