iRacing

just ordered the trustmaster t500rs :D and will start playing iracing, was a big live for speed fan years ago.. iracings looks fun

that would be my choice now aswell looks awesome, but i want a obutto first, mind you im happy with the g27 and ive just put the nixim mod in my pedals so im good for a while...

Only really did the small bit on tuesday with the practice session, was useful seeing Stuart's lap but left to watch the Daytona 500 shortly afterwards.

I will definitely be racing, I seemed to get to a reasonable pace with good consistency nice and quickly so probably do quite a few races :)

thinkin of buying a playseat next :D

very nice of you to mention that for me gimpymoo.

but serious anybody thinking of having ago is so worth the 8 quid or whatever it works out as to have ago, it's the best racing game/SIM that I've ever played by a fare old way...

tough first race at Atlanta in the radicals, the right hander had me twice first time i was pushing for 4th having a wicked race with kat was shaping up to be a awesome race then i spun on the turn and then i did it again...

never mind still enjoyed it, the car can be a tad unpredictable at times...

Either unpredictable or just such a fine line between fast and in the wall :p

Got hit in T1, I was a bit over-aggressive, Pierre missed me and just tapped my front left, no serious damage but the car was a bit dodgy, mostly just increased understeer but I got used to it and pushed hard to catch up, almost caught back up to you when I just made a silly mistake in that left hander at the end of the esses and put it into the wall.

2.5 minutes required, 9 minutes optional (which I did, much good it did me), ended up over a second down on pace, just lapping till the end :( hopefully the next one is better :)

yeah my first trip to the pits it was 3mins to fix so I did that, then the second trip to pits it was 4 mins but I only stayed for the required fix which was 30 secs, the car wasn't too bad but the back end wanted to kick out a lot, in fact I span on t3 aswell after my second crash..

Pierre had a bad race tho his car was mangled but he stayed out of every body's way as much as he could which is the best he could do...

I saw the mess in t1 I didn't realise you were involved, I had a bad start I double shifted so i bogged down...

yeah hope the next race is easier or should I say cleaner, that set you modded was nice 2 mate cheers...

well done on the 2nd place josh i was spectating for the last 5 or so mins, did you get much damage when tim span in front of you???

Cheers, was a bit of a 'dull' race but on the other hand nice and relaxing for the most part.

No damage at all, it only registered as a 0x as well which is nice, feel a bit sorry for him as he was clearly quicker but kept making mistakes, for the most part I was just trundling around in the low 18's where I felt safe.

But then, got 2nd instead of 3rd, I don't feel that sorry :p

yeah you did well mate..

while spectating robert hope was in there aswell, that dude is so fast his done a 1.15.6xx with a 26 rear wing...nice guy aswell...

15.6, not a huge surprise I guess as Stuart got into the high 15's iirc, still insanely quick...

I won't be getting within a second of that. ever. :p

yeah but stuarts using a 17 rear wing, he can do a 1.16.5 with a 26 wing...

well done on the win in the last race.

i span in T3 on the first few laps, car was strange under braking slightly, so i was abit off the pace and no way i could catch the front runners..

Ah, didn't realise he was using a 17 rear wing, Robert must be flying around the first section then, bet it's impressive :)

Yeah, T3 is my biggest issue, I either do it really really quickly, or (and this is by far the most frequent) I go in too deep, or turn in too early, or just a combination of every screw up imaginable :p

I enjoyed that race though, knew early on that my only chance was if Tim made a mistake, and from the last race I knew if he had some pressure he'd make a mistake...

Pushed really really hard, 17.7 on lap 3, to catch him back up and sure enough he made a mistake, then just kept pushing as even with 9 seconds I didn't feel comfortably, thankfully he made another mistake to make it 20 seconds or so :)

I was pushing most of the race though, did loads of 17's, including beating my PB 3 times (it was a 17.7 before that race), so fairly chuffed, unfortunately it can only go downhill from here :p

you did very well mate, there the hardest races IMO were your leading most or all the race, you put so much pressure on your self...

im the same as you on t3 and i think thats whats effecting the balance of my car, i hit a lot of the apex on t3 and its bumpy...

t7 tho thats were a lot of time is lost for me if you dont nail it you loose so much speed on the straight..i went off track there in the last race luckily i was 14 sec or so in front of the guy behind...

just done what i told my self not to do anymore.

joined a race on a whim as i was bored.

messy as hell cars going off, me off the track 3 times in 3 laps i span on the esse's then completely overcooked t3 and into the wall over 10 mins in the pits needed.

no body to blame but me...
