iRacing

Had two terrible races in the Skippy, collecting 7x and 9x in the process. both times I got hit by cars re-joining (fine) the 3x and 5x was pure frustration from over driving a damaged car then :(

Congrats.
So yeah I didnt check the full series, I plan to just buy tracks when and where necessary, that way I'll eventually have most of them.
This round is Virginia International Raceway which you will need to purchase if you havnt already.

Cool, will have a look around - is good to have far more choices now.

I’m learning Brands in the BMW and slowly improving my time. Is there any way to reduce the fuel in practice - it seems to be locked at 90L?

Had an awesome race in the skippy, finished 3rd even had a 2.09.xxx lap time.

Then it went to pot, second race got crashed into at the start, then got crashed into again by the same guy! Then went off track on my own. I just parked it in the pits and gonna take a hammering on iracong points now !! Argh¡!!!!!!!!

So since starting up again at the turn of the year I've gone from being 1k iRating to a now personal best of 1709. Goes to show putting in the practice to really learn each track pays off. Still got to work on my wreck avoidance though, as I tend to have the occasional blow-up race!

I don't understand this going round in a cricle 'racing' :p
Back in my iRacing days I started out feeling like you and came to love oval racing. Not for the racing, that's a random, exhilarating, white-knuckle fairground crashfest in vehicles which steer like barges full of lead. But the community aspect, chatting under yellow, the good natured (sometimes) and often very polite southern banter... I grew to love all that. It's social, and an insight into American life, in a way road racing can't be... you simply don't have the time.

Ok, I also enjoyed the occasional Hillbilly threats to hunt allegedly bad drivers down and kill them. But to be fair, the road side could be no better, it's just that the threats were often in Spanish or German, so were less obvious. :)

I am having fun , I do like the Oval racing.

Had some great races, of course had a few smashes where I could do nothing about it, but learning to deal with it better and just get on with it.

I'm just racing as clean as I can now, but not backing down to save my SR, really not bothered about my SR now - it will take care of itself over time I think if I am fair and honest with my racing.

I didn't even realise people spoke on headsets?? I just have it turned off :):p

I've got it on with a mute button bound in case they get annoying! 99% of the time I'm in discord with iRacing mates anyway for quality banter.

Can you hear every car or just those cars near you? Sounds like it could be hilarious or annoying, bound mute button is a good idea

Anyone driving in the session. Spectators are fenced off from the drivers in different channels.

Andrew_McP pretty much nailed it. The Southern Yanks in Oval racing can be quite entertaining sometimes. when they find out your a Brit prepare for some ribbing... :D
