I've had two 2nd places in a row now... That elusive first win is surely not far off, both times the 1st place racer is someone with D/C class (Why is that a thing in rookie races?). The best thing is that with genuine consequence I've cleaned up my racing as well, I've become a gentleman racer

.
A race or two and I'll be out of rookie, bar any unforeseen incidents.
I'm genuinely starting to understand the following that iRacing has. The buzz is definitely real!!! No the Physics and FFB may not be the best (good but not the best), the graphics are pretty damn dated and sounds are hit and miss depending on the car.
However the online racing is far superior to anything else out there, even at the rookie levels. Just knowing, going into a race, that you have a fair and genuine chance at a clean start and that you have a good chance of a good clean fight with another driver is truly game changing.
I guess the "paywall" works to keep the majority of the idiots and wreckers away and attracts genuine grown up racers (For the most part

).
Dont get me wrong, I'll still be putting in majority of time in ACC and AC with the team. However I can see myself on iRacing pretty much any other time when i'm on my own looking for a race.
I just wish I hadnt dismissed it for so long due to the pay model, only person who has lost out here is me...
