iRacing

The biggest pain is getting the frickin things in focus. I knew the "sweet spot" on the G2 was small but I cannot get it just right.

Only reason I'd like VR is so I can look at my Wong mirrors more fluidly....is there a way to not turn your view as much when looking left/right with keybinds?

Frustrating night - Just couldn't get going tonight in MX5's on Okayama - honestly couldn't string a decent lap together - Need to watch a few videos as some corners I feel I'm potentially in the wrong gear to get out the corner properly.

Couple of good oval races till but got caught up in a massive crash about 5 laps from the end in the trucks.... then a really good run in Dallara Dash series, Qualified ok in 10 - got up to 5th with the front pack, and then idiot in 4th was swerving all over the place despite me having a good run on him in the draft and took us both out.....Frustrating....

Traxion GG (Dave Cam) does a weekly track guide for the Mazdas which I find very handy.

I actually had the best night on iRacing I've had in a while. Done 3 MX-5 races. Qualified 3rd finished 2nd, qualified 3rd finished 7th (Spun myself on lap 1) and in the final race I qualified 2nd (1st place missed the start) and I finished 1st after leading all laps.

Good work.

I qualified third then got spun on the first corner. Race before that someone proper rear ended me :D

Intending on doing a few races tonight, want to try do them with a mate but chances are we'll not be on the same session annoyingly.

You can set the angle (and speed of transition I think) in the app.ini file - it's the 'cockpitLookAngle' property, and some others IIRC.
Worked a treat, thanks.

Also found one to make the movement smoother

Tried a bit of Oval tonight as well, certainly different :D Came fourth in my first (and only) race of trying Oval sp can't moan.

Also managed to get a D license for Road.

Should I get it through Steam? on the iracing webpage it's £15 + VAT for 3 months which I'll probably do. Or Is it "easier" through steam?

If it's better through the iracing website drop me your email address in trust and I'll do it as a referral so you get 10$ credit

Look for a 3 month coupon code there was on for $5 the other day

Day off today so did quite a few races. First half of the day was pretty brutal and incident filled. Results were 4th, 7th, 6th and 11th. Took a break and went back to it later and something just clicked. Lapped faster than I'd done all week and consistently to which is key.

As a result my next batch of races were; 1st, 1st, 2nd, 5th and 2nd.

well done. Was this all the same series, if so which?

I managed to do the Ole switcheroo last night and do four races back to back :p mx5/vee/mx5/vee

Bit of a gaff alt-tabbing, withdrawing, joining, alt-tabbing back and rushing about but hey ho. That's my only gripe with the game is there's a bit of a wait between races on one series sometimes. Yes, i could race other cars in other disciplines, but that's not what I want to be doing that often right now.

The Fanatec Cup? (Rookie MX-5s).

Found myself at 2.2k iRating after the first race last night. Then put it on pole with a lap that didn't feel all that fast but ended up my fastest (Without a tow) so far. A 59.5 second lap. Lost the lead early on after getting a bit too keen on the throttle, then on lap 6 3rd place took me out. Managed to recover from 11th to 6th before the end though so finished "iRating neutral".
