Is it fair to ask for a £30 refund on i7 8700k I purchased 12 days ago ?

I could send it back under UK law and get a full Refund that's my point... No loss too me! I'm not being funny about this , a 30.00 DROP in price in 12 days is a lot of money....... I'd happily take 15.00 refund....

In the words of the President Frank Underwood..

"You are entitled to nothing. You, are entitled, to nothing"

Your wrong! I could easily send it back and get a full refund! Purchased using Amazon PAY to start with....... + under UK law
Online, mail and phone order sales
Online, mail and telephone order customers have the right to cancel their order for a limited time even if the goods aren’t faulty. Sales of this kind are known as ‘distance selling’.

You must offer a refund to customers if they’ve told you within 14 days of receiving their goods that they want to cancel. They have another 14 days to return the goods once they’ve told you.

You must refund the customer within 14 days of receiving the goods back. They don’t have to provide a reason.

Just send it back and stop whining then.
Looking at your specs, £30 isn't a lot of money to you.

I'll call OC tomorrow and see what they say ! its going to cost me nothing to send it back as I work for Royal mail so no loss there for me..... Like I said OC could save them and myself a lot of hassle buy refunding me a little bit back and everyone is happy!

I don't like that fact I purchased a product and its changed by 30.00 in 12 days that is a big deal too me... that's technically Half a days pay for someone who is on minimum wage.

May I remind you, you said is it fair, not is it legal.

Personally I wouldn't go through the bother of returning/refunding/repurchasing for £30. I'd rather the business keeps it to show gratitude that they offer so much at great prices.

Can't say I'm a fan of purchasing something then seeing it sell for a cheaper price later on either but I don't whine on the retailers forums asking for the difference back almost 2 weeks later!
What are you like at petrol stations?

Where or how do you think ocuk recoup the cost of people like you doing stuff like that ?, the cpu you got would have probably cost ocuk more then as supply was limited you knew the price would drop when you purchased it ie

If it was in Jan mate I would have accepted the higher cost! We are talking a week here!

The Cs guys are very good here and it's why we buy our stuff from here.

Thing is - they're active on the forums, and you're airing your dirty laundry in public. That's probably not going to help if it's at their discretion whether to give you a partial refund.

Well legally speaking the contract of sale is complete. Price agreed and paid and goods supplied.

You could try a return and then buy a new one but I wouldn't fancy your chances now you've publicly moaned about it rather than approaching them directly.

I'm also a loyal customer I've been here since 2007! So 10 years so don't see why it should be an issue too ask.

Were all loyal customers but people doing stuff like sending stuff back just because they have spat there dummy out over not being able to wait a couple of weeks spoils it for the rest

So in reply to" Is it fair to ask for a £30 refund on i7 8700k I purchased 12 days ago ?" looks like the general consensus is a No then and its abit of an aunts trick to be honest

i could understand asking if it change next day then maybe like others have said a good will gesture, but 12 days later is abit of an ask, prices will always vary pending a supplier, look at the ddr4 ram for example, its up and down like a yoyo. always worth a cheeky aske, but i personally think after so long it will be a no.

would you ask for a refund on you shopping if food was cheaper 12 days after buying ?
