That is a strange one as Iran is Shia whereas Hamas are Sunni. Egypt is mainly Sunni as is Saudi. The whole situation is obviously a lot more complex than most think. It doesn't take much reading to see this part of the world has been in turmoil for thousands of years. It's been right at the junction of a lot of empires over the millennia so no surprise really.Because they don't care. They have no love for the Palestinians, they gain nothing from helping them, and as long as the Palestinians are suffering, the Arab states get to blame Israel for it, so the Palestinians are only useful as a political tool.
They also remember that when Jordan let in the Palestinians many decades ago, the Palestinians showed their gratitude by attempting to overthrow the government in a military coup that turned into a civil war. So nobody wants the potential headache that comes with supporting the Palestinians.
The exception is Iran, which supports Hamas to project terrorism.

So the DUP, a political party have some backing by a terrorist group, that makes them terrorists also?Even the UK media are doing it : https://www.independent.co.uk/voice...on-paramilitaries-peace-process-a7782631.html
Hamas are just useful idiots for a country like Iran.Iran is more a bedfellow with Hezbollah(both shia), but doesn't stop it supporting Hamas with info planning and equipment. My enemy's enemy is my friend, so to speak.
I think they'll get hit anyway.'Iran is known to fund and equip Hamas in Gaza. But on Tuesday, Iran's supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said his country was not behind the weekend's deadly attacks on Israel.
He did, however, said he "kissed the hand" of those who planned the attacks.'
Taken from the BBC feed. I think the Iranians didn't realise how successful the Hamas attack would be. They are drastically back pedalling before they get hit.
Saying no food or water etc until hostages are released Israel @bbc live

Good
If the siege works then no need to enter Gaza
They will still have to enter if want to eradicate Hamas I'd imagine due to tunnel network.
