Israel-Hamas war - Please do not post videos showing attacks/similar

A few minutes viewing the videos on X of the civilian casualties of the Hamas attack and the cheering crowds of a kidnapped, clearly raped young Israeli woman might sway your position.
I don't think anybody is saying that Hamas are the good guys. But neither is Israel.

You can't just turn a blind eye to the seriously vile stuff Israel has done - unless you're the US or the UK govt, that is...

Poke a bear, retreat and let the civilian population pay the price seems legit. This quote of twitter sums it up for me

If you’re chanting “God is great” while spitting on the desecrated body of a murdered woman. I’d quietly suggest your “God” might not be the right one to be worshiping.

Reminds of Mafia movies, kill people then go to church to celebrate

Criminals use religion to make themselves feel good because it allows them to commit and worst crimes and not feel a inch of guilt for it but instead happiness in the belief that your god has willed it, that god held your hand as you kill those people

Hamas Air Farce

I don't see why they would start an actual war unless they felt confident plans were in place to cause Israel some real hurt, it's literally not even close who is the stronger force here even if the entire Gaza population took up arms it wouldn't be close
Both sides are fanatics. The eye for an eye just keeps going. The blood bath about to unfold will just make another generation with absolute hate for Israel and so the cycle continues.

Israel had the power in my opinion to halt this cycle years ago by making a fair carve up of territory so that Palestine could prosper. They chose instead to exert control over Palestine like a strangle hold so this is what happens, like cornering a rat.

It just shows your ignorance of the definitions of mass murder and ethnic cleansing when you throw around the terms like confetti... Like many of your ilk are want to do.

Let's make a number of baseless accusations and hope one of them is correct or soft minded individuals actually believe them.

Baseless accusations you say... Hmmm.... Wait a cotton pickin minute!:

Should be titled "Residential Buildings housing rockets used to fire into Israel, explosives, weapons and sheltering Hamas soldiers and leaders was specifically targeted and destroyed.

Unknown number of enemy combatants liquidated and possibly unfortunate civilian casualties"

Good job

Twitter says Israel has begun crossing the border into Gaza with tanks and other armoured vehicles, air strikes continue. Civilians were given 1hr notice to leave

Can you see how what you've posted above is a just a little daft?

I'll have a go...

This should be titled

Israel encouraged Jewish Israelis to leave Gaza as they had left it with salted earth, compromised factories and smashed greenhouses so that the remaining Palestinians had no way to grow anything or form any kind of economy or employment opportunities

See... Just because I said it, doesn't make it fact

Sources?

Just lol... Israel is good, All Palestinians are bad...Israel is good, All Palestinians are bad... Did I get it right?

There is an article on the greenhouses. You can do the rest of the homework.

Sources of the quote? The first part was Golda Meir 50 years ago and it has often been repeated. Most recently by Binyamin Netanyahu who added the second part. The entire thing has been repeated by other people.

Golda Meir also said " Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us."

As for the "Israel good Palestine bad" quip, Israel is by no means perfect but neither is USA, UK, France, Germany or a myriad of other countries. But almost anyone, you, Andrew Green, Craterloads etc included would much rather live there then Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Egypt... Should I go on?

Especially if you are gay, critical of the government, value your health, your freedom, your democratic rights, your freedom to worship or not and about five hundred other things you take for granted.

Yeah I mean, regardless of who’s side you’re on in this (I have no idea where I stand personally), Israel certainly have been given a reason to absolutely flatten Palestine now.

They have no reason to go easy or take a half measure, and they have the ability to deliver absolute devastation.

I’m wondering exactly how far they will go, I wouldn’t be surprised if they invade Gaza and just take the whole lot.

I can't see them not going hard, after the events that have happened the public will scalp the government at the first opportunity if they don't.

You made the statement, it's your job to support it, not throw it back to the people you're trying to convince...

So your sources above are a former Israeli prime minister and an Israeli MP?... Do you have any sources from an alternative non-interested party?

Golda Meir also said " Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us."

And a Palestinian of equal standing could say "peace will come when the Jews allow others the same that they have wished for eternity",.. it's just rhetoric from a preferred standpont

Excellent whataboutism... Nice work...

That level of revisionism can only come from someone who is Jewish. @Noughtboy jewish ancestry by any chance?
Your level of malevolence and your level of revisionism smacks of a certain ancestory too @Craterloads .

Would you like me to have a guess at that?

And just to set the record straight, my mother was born in that specific area of the world. As was her father, his parents and their parents before that. So, you could certainly say I have a connection there going back over 200 years. And they owned property there too would you believe. However, I do not walk around with a large iron key around my neck.

So, as likely the only person with "Palestinian" ancestry here, I believe my level of "revisionism" trumps your inherent, baseless inbred hatred. When you start calling for the Arabs to lay down their weapons, accept Israel is there to stay and finally negotiate in good faith, I would probably start to take anything you say a little more seriously.

That is the path to peace and something the world and more especially the Jews and the Arabs who actually live in the area want.
