Can you quote some posts that you are referring to? If they are islamaphobic or antisemitic then they need to be reported.

Edit: Actually, don't quote. Just report them if you think they breach rules.

Israel can't really do much besides their usual targeted missile attacks against Hamas. This talk of flattening the Gaza strip is hyperbole. It would take nukes to do that.

This attack is showing how much damage a few dozen militants can do though. Something that could just as easily happen in mainland Europe with the ability to transport weapons around the Schengen area.
 
I think there is an element of grifting on both sides by a small group of people.

I think the majority of people want a resolution of peace were they can be secure in their lives.

Fighting like this is dumb, even if there are reasons for frustration.

What was the objective of Hamas? Just to kill some Israelis? How is that advancing the cause?

Really? Groups from all over Europe, the middle East and Africa all mixed together, with multiple large religions too. Yes there's a Jewish majority, but trust me that the European Jews and middle Eastern Jews and South African Jews and Russian Jews and Ethiopian Jews, not to mention orthodox to kibbutz, are not the same culture.

That's before you get to the fact that there's a lot of Christians, Muslims, Druze etc Arabs, Bedouins...

Islamaphobia is one of the most ridiculous words in English. Typically when it's used its to describe acts by Muslims that would not be irrational to fear.

Most people have no issue day to day with Muslims, but when they express negative sentiments there's usually a reason.

It's a bit weird, going to Israel would show how multicultural it is (even if there is a vocal croud who would rather it wasn't...)

How anyone can defend Palestine today is a bit amusing, this was a large scale attack involving a large number of their own. Israel will use this as an excuse to blow them to kingdom come.

For the record I don't like Israel, but I think they have a right to exist. Most "pro Palestine" people I've met you don't have to scratch very far to find it is usually just firmly rooted in deep anti semitic, which is hardly surprising for Muslims.

Israel won't give a **** after this terrorist attack, not that they gave much of a **** before what the rest of the world thinks.

Utterly awful videos coming out, just watched one of an Isreali woman presumably kidnapped and being bundled from the rear of a 4x4 into the backseat.

I doubt she will ever be seen alive again.

Very strict. Officers can keep a handgun locked away I think (I think ammo locked up separately). Licenses are required otherwise, and you have to have a genuine reason to own it (farming etc). Even then, it's a process to get approval.

Putting aside whether or not the sitting US President had anything to do with the below conflicts (because logic jumped out of the window when I decided to reply to this post with anything other than flippancy), Trump had twice as many wars initiated during his presidency than Biden. Unless you had some other conflicts in mind, Yemen and Ukraine have been ongoing theatres since 2014. Thanks Obama.

You need to read some history books, Hamas is arab, the current ethnic population of Palestine is arab. The Canaanites were not arabs.
