so you want to put 2 million civillians on a beach, then raze their country, all while not allowing any water, electricty or food in. yeah, can see the UN really getting behind that plan. In fact they could put up some barbwire cordons around the beach "for their protection". Yep, genius of a military plan, persecute an entire nation just to get a few because of the pesky population density getting in the way of a good bit of saturation bombing. This isn't civ 5 where you can go full scorched earth just to get rid of that pesky city state thats a little too close to your capital cities borders.........................
not if you don't count kids throwing stones at APC's rolling through their streets................... unless we are also now saying that they were legitimate targets

It was just an idea and yes, I know it's not great. And gaza is not a country, it is a very small area. Well come up with something yourself to try to save the non-terrorist occupants there?

Oh good, because targeting innocent civilians (and using civilians as human shields) is what I have been criticizing Hamas for.
I have not criticized Israel for these things because I haven't seen evidence that they are doing these things.

Journalists clearly marked as Press
Doctors running to help the injured (taken out by Israeli snipers)
Kids with stones (really? bullets versus stones?)
Farmers defending their villages being flattened to make way for Israeli settlers
and **** loads of other stuff!
google is your friedn. IDF have previous for shooting stone throwing kids and also form for regularly detaining children as young as 6 for stone chucking
IDF has enough resource to do a proper land based incursion and root out the terrorists. Considering that they ahve basically declared war they can mount a land assult without being accused of invasion, but that measn putting soliders in potnetial harms way and on their scale of life worth I am guessing that they would rank palestinian civillians a lot lower than trained military personnel so it's way easier to live with yourself on that basis alone when you turn a few thousand palestinian civillians to glass becasue hey they would probably end up being terrorists anyway................
don't forget the murder of 4 unarmed UN observers when their observation post got flatened because they were probably Hezbollah sympathisers anyway................

As a US military veteran, I have heard stories of US military personnel doing some really ****** up ****. -But then they get court-martialed.
It's one thing to have someone snap and go crazy or just be evil. It's another matter altogether to train your personal to go find and kill civilians, then cheer for them when they do.

you show me a post in here where anyone has said to the contrary. I might have missed it, but I don't think I have read anyone posting jsutifcation for the Hamas terrorists.
They have, as mentioned above.
No-one here has defended Hamas but they do have sympathy for the Palestinians, who have suffered not only because of the Israelis but also because of their 'allies'.
You on the other hand seem to have some warped thinking that leads you to thinking the Palestinians should show gratitude to Israel for giving them basic necessities. Almost, but not quite, as ridiculous as expecting concentration camp prisoners to show gratitude when given food.
Sooner Hamas goes the better, but Israel isn't exactly clean here.
