Was some rockets fired about 20 minutes ago or so but looked like they were all intercepted, been quiet since then mostly.
I was watching it through the day while I was working. Gaza got hit hard, there were rockets that come out of Gaza but most that I seen were intercepted. Are that for hit the hardest by Israel was right next to where rockets were launched from. Surreal to watch it all to be honest.

Is it feasible that a terrorist organisation doing illegal stuff is able to form illegal methods of smuggling illegal goods in through a blockade whereas the law-abiding citizens of Gaza Strip don't have those avenues available to, you know, bring in food?

Is that at all possible? What say you @Twinz ?

Is that the terrorist organisation that is in charge of governing the Gaza Strip and therefore has overall responsibility for making sure it's citizens have food? They could always use those 'illegal methods' to, you know, smuggle in food instead of weapons....

Nobody with any sense is doubting these atrocities took place and I hope those responsible are punished.
You "hope 'those responsible' are 'punished' "? Hamas didn't steal a kid's bycle, they started an all-out war.

Isreal is not looking to fill out a report and maybe send a couple of officers to serve a search warant.

It's cute when people still think that Hamas were legitimately voted in and are actually interested in governing their people more than they are in attacking Israel... Bless :)

The usuals that have been posting the occasional video of hamas showing 'kindness' to the odd person seem to have gone awfully quiet following the reports they go around beheading and burning babies haven't they. Don't worry, we see you.

Moley beat me to it...

Of course it's possible, but Hamas is the government of Gaza. They're the ones who are supposed to be providing for for their people. They have that capacity, and yet they prefer to smuggle weapons instead.

Also, as I have pointed out in a previous post, food and humanitarian aid still enters Gaza via legal means. It never stopped. 80% of Palestinians in Gaza are supported by outside aid.

If they have the power and fail to take care of their people, you can send your stern letter of dissatisfaction to them.

Hamas. Is. The. Problem.

Israel are going to flatten Gaza aren't they?
I'm wondering what the wider Arab world will say when the tanks start rolling in. Personally, I think they won't do anything at all beyond condemn it publicly.

Israelis have now started bringing in the field hospitals

I remember before Russia invaded the US said you can kind be slightly relaxed even though there was a build up of armour and troops; it's only when you see them start building hospitals on the border that you know the war is on like donkey Kong

Empty words. You’d be crazy to try anything with Israel right now, the whole country is fired up and they have a lot of trained personnel too, along with the US standing next to them.

Agree. It would be a very bold (erroneous?) political move to defend Hamas right now, as it stands.

Here’s hoping Isreal only do what is strictly necessary to defeat their threat and don’t perpetuate the cycle with needless ‘overkill’.

It feels like the nuclear option

America had its pearl harbour and it resulted in dropping nukes on Japan

Feels like Israel believes this is their pearl harbour and they want to respond with a metaphorical nuke on Gaza
