Italian Grand Prix 2015, Monza - Race 12/19

Indeed!

OMG SO UNSAFE - but we will let you run the whole race like it anyway and only bring it up at the end....

If it is truly a safety problem, should they not have dealt with it then and there?

This too - if they were that worried they should have black flagged the cars.

Sky try's endlessly to build drama where there is none/little.

If it is a Pirelli tyre gauge that was used then it is probably as unreliable as their tyres. That would be my argument :D

In they go, now how long will they be in there for, that's the question.

In there a while, most likely.

Rosberg's in a funny position. On one hand, he would love both cars to be DSQ to avoid the 25 point deficit he just gave away, but on the other hand he has to fight for the interest of the team.

God sky are dumb, they didn't push Lewis to get temperatures up. Different set of tyres.
They also have telemetry for tyre pressures for the whole race.

Unless they saw on the telemetry that this set were low on pressure and didn't want to give the FIA any more ammunition.

If that was the case, they would have done that from the start. Fia have access to telemetry if they want. It makes zero sense to run tyres under pressure you can't hide it.

The full tech rules that apply. Clear enough?

12.5.3 - If, in the interests of maintaining current levels of circuit safety, the FIA deems it necessary to reduce tyre grip, it shall introduce such rules as the tyre supplier may advise or, in the absence of advice which achieves the FIA's objectives, specify the maximum permissible contact areas for front and rear tyres.

Unfortunately, Technical Directives don't carry the same weight as Technical or Sporting regulations. They're also not published anywhere for people to see.
