Light snow forecast for round this way tonight and all day tomorrow. Hopefully that means it actually turns up and doesn't melt immediately

Yep, "light snow" in the East Mids seems to mean sod-all snow in real world terms.

Sucks living in the south. We had quite a bit last year around Jan / late December time from what i remember.
Had a small amount on Sunday morning though that didn't even settle.
I'd kill for getting some about a foot thick!

I want snow dammit. Had a bit on friday evening and saturday morning, but not much by northern standards!
Main roads are absolutely fine, and minor roads are ok as-long as you watch out for ice. Worst road I know of is..... mine
. Spun my wheels when going in and out of my drive today..... and unlike yesterday when I was hooning around on the grass I wasn't trying to today!
Despite the roads being fine the M4 was stationary going into Bristol this morning.

Having said that, we're forecast a little bit tonight. Right PITA. I want to wake up tomorrow morning and either have a few feet of snow, thus closing Uni etc, or have none at-all. If there's a bit Sod's Law says that I'll get up, drive to Uni, stacking my car in the process, and then find it's closed.

Third room in, chimney installed, wind breaker walls and over-hanging porchway constructed.
In response to an earlier question, this build is about 15 man hours worth, split between two people. With one spade and one trowel. I'm sure it could be done faster with a wheel barrow.
