It's too hot :(

Let's hope this doesn't come off:

Every run is trending that way and the min temps aren't far behind... other models seem to be following though the BBC is going against.

I've not looked at what those who actually know what they are talking about are saying yet but the setup leading to it seems to be dragging considerable heat up from the south where temperatures are breaking records so...

EDIT: Though it looks like there will be a fair bit of breeze which will hopefully offset the brutality of it.

What I'm reading is 'I need to move Scotland'.

I'm blowing a gasket because some cretin in my household is wasting water by leaving a sprinkler on the lawn for three hours and counting. I've a good mind to wrap the hosepipe round his neck. But I have to hold my tongue to keep the peace. Flamin' families.

Most counties in the south east of England have a threshold of 27C, while many central areas of England and south-east Wales have a threshold of 26C.
On a completely random note, catteries in the UK are required by law to have portable/fixed air con available to ensure the cat housings don't go above 26c even when outdoor temps do (to prevent the cats from overheating). I always found it comical that what are legally defined as wild animals must be kept cooler due to the regs than they would be in the wild.

Pussies....

Yet for humans the law is only that work place temperatures have to be "reasonable" without any real clear definition...

I have worked in offices with no air con, tiny windows which made zilch difference to the temperature. Every time reach out, get paper stuck to arms.

Plus it’s best to be at home when having v hot weather than staying at a hotel etc in the UK.

I stayed at a hotel when it was 35c. Air con was rubbish and wasn’t allowed to open window.

I remember seeing a couple sleeping on the grassy area to the side of the hotel
