Thats blasphemy in Islam... Mecca and Medina are Islams most holy sites... their Jerusalem issue only serves as a show of dominance over the other two religions...

In fact when the Jordanians had part of the city, they never made it as their capital... in the Palestinian Covenant of 1964, the City was not even mentioned... but as soon as Israel recaptured the City the Covenant was re-written to include Jerusalem...

Interestingly... how many times is Jerusalem mentioned in the Quran?

So sue me??...i said it was equally the most holy place in islam as well. Anyways cut out the trying to get one over me....your arrogance isnt appealing to me in the slightest:).

He is a product of his ancestory not his geographical location at birth which could have been tibet, japan or anywhere in the world.
Your location at the time of your birth has very little to do with who you are.

Not really, its all gone downhill since the war on terror;) but bad publicity is good publicity for us...at least we are getting noticed a lot more lol....

Thats in your opinion only... as i said.. the Old City isn't mentioned even once in the Quran...

This is a debate... i'm trying to get my point across not to the extent that you imagine in terms of results... but if you make a statement you should have something to back you up...

Looking at the graphics on the BBC website that illustrates the differing types of attire, I can't help thinking that those costumes are designed by men as a means of control of the woman. I cannot accept that any woman would chose to wear something like that unless coerced into doing so or be brainwashed from birth.

Yes in fact since 9/11 there have been more books published on the criticisms on Islam than all the books in all the centuries prior to that, and i hasten to add, more people are starting to see it for what it really is...

Honestly can't see what the big deal is. If some women feel comfortable wearing veils that cover their faces then thats fine by me, and I'm sure that is a view held by a lot of other people.

But the immediate condemnation of Mr Straw's comments by certain muslims is a little bit over the top. It's the attitude of those people that seems to be you(British non muslims) must adapt to our culture, even though we are a small minority in this country

If both sides just got on with thier own life and tried to meet each other half way then there wouldn't be a problem.

Muslims acknowledge that some people find it diconcerting talking to people face to face when they are covered and make an effort to remove them for the conversation. And non muslims acknowledge that people should be able to wear whatever they want. If someone is walking down the street in a full hjab then fine they want to, so respect that. It can't be too difficult to find a middle ground surely?

ive used this forum for 4 years now. and its getting worse. its a place to **** muslims. simple. you should replace the logo for NF or maybe BNP.
