Jailbroken iPhone Screenshot Thread

Potentially stupid question, but do you need an iPhone or iPod Touch to play around with creating these themes/screens/etc?

I'm considering moving over from Android to an iPhone but I'm not massively sold on iOS itself. But if I could get something akin to photoshop's fine work on my phone, I'd be a very happy chappy.

But I don't want to buy an iPhone only to find out that I lack the requisite skills to cobble together something as slick as what our man here has.

I don't have any photoshop skills other than knowing the basics.
I don't create themes from scratch - I use the available themes and then modify them so that I end up with something new.

There are a lot of iphones themes/mods/resources out there and customisation is ripe at the moment on the web for the iphone. iPad is lacking though.

I do however have a 3GS and still running 3.1.3.
iPhone4 and iOS4 is a different beast and Apple have changed everything around and now the j/b community have to start all-over which includes all the customisation which still isn't perfect.

This is why I will not buy an iPhone4 or update my 3GS to iOS4.

Customisation for the iPhone4 has along way to go yet and people are still trying to get around the basics.

EDIT: Yes you need an iPhone - not to create but to view otherwise no point in creating.
 
Only had mine JB a day so not exactly how I want it...

Theme is Suave HD
SMS is a random background as can't get suave to work on it...
Custom charge tone of the Halo Shield regen and custom Big Bang Theory SMS Tone of Sheldon saying "Bazinga"





Can anyone help me with the following...

Getting the wallpaper onto the lockscreen (not sure how?) so i dont have the denim looking one.

Getting my SMS screen to look like Photoshops

Also can i make the general menus darker, so when selecting texts/settings etc... and the banners grey/black not blue (like where it has Andre)

Gonna be a newbie JBer soon - can you direct me to any resources to keep an eye for regards the whole JB thing and more importantly new themes and how to use them - liking what Im seeing and it so reminds me of the times of Samurize before Vista and its widgets got involved.

Hi,

Rather than open a new thread I'll ask my question in here. Is there any way of changing the appearance of the top info bar (the bar with signal strength, time and battery) to solid black? I have had a quick scan through cydia but can't see anything.

there was something pre 3.0 that kept it black not matter what app you are running. but it never was updated
 
I have another question, I am trying to change the default background to suave hd by overwriting the wallpaper.png in the suave hd theme folder. I have over written it but it still shows the default wallpaper. Any idea on how I can change it.

I don't want to install bosspaper as it breaks multitasking and for some reason in winterboard checking use user wallpaper doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Lock screen, has notifications/calendar alerts/sms/emails show when I get new ones, looks like that otherwise. Android XT for the passcode.

Download suave hd from here and follow the instructions form here, to use your own wallpaper just delete the wallpaper in the suave hd file on your iphone. Be aware the sauve HD folders look different to the default ones I am using, if you want to change them see here for the file you have to modify (it's around 5-6 posts down)
 
Hmmm trying to SSH into my laptop via my iphone4 and i cant seem to get it working...i have Winscp installed and have entered my wifi ip into the hostname along with the login and password as root and alpine.

But i get a server unexpectedly closed connection :confused:.

Am i doing something wrong here??...ive got my iphone4 connected to my laptop via the usb cable and it doesnt seem to accept the login.
