He could walk into most top 4 teams, certainly Spurs, and improve them massively. Can score goals, being players into the game and is deceptively good on the ball. Because he is big people think big lump, certianly isn't.

I know we're **** :D best chance we had was at the end of the nineties which we unfortunately didn't take, as long as we stay top 10, the few good cup runs and maybe Europe I will be happy (of course none of this is happening this year) and keeping Carroll is the key to this.
 
Funny a newcastle fan saying we think were a big club as i re-call wasnt it newcastle who thought they were bigger than they are, thought they were great and then went down... :P

Granted it turned out good for you atleast

We had our time in the nineties which was great, don't worry about me i'm not bitter unlike some of you scousers out there :D

Best thing that ever happened to us. Shook the club out of the embarassingly poor state we were in, overpaying average players who consistently underperformed and declaring we should be at the top rather than proving it. We'll never again be a top 5 club but its pointed the club in the right direction to improve every year now :)

Didn't say we were a big club, just that we had our time in the spotlight :) the Entertainer years, the great football, fantastic to watch every week and going so close was great :)

Pity it didn't end up with a title but there you go, thats life :p

granted he would probably start at spurs as there strikers arent good enough, i know he is your lad but take off the magpie specs for a bit,

Carroll's an excellent target man - possibly the best around - but his ability with his feet leaves a lot to be desired.

If you're going to play his style of football, he'll be a great addition to your squad, don't think he's worth anything like £25m though.

Newcastle have been a massive club though.

I know there are rules and stuff as to how far you are allowed to look back...but three league championships and six FA Cup final appearances in seven years is an indication of a massive club IMO.
