stoke are asking for too much money for a player that age. I think Quinn and Bruce wont be conned into paying over the odds. they would be better off saving the cash and putting it towards along term striker in the summer

Personally as much as I 'appreciate' the influence agents have in the modern game, sometimes I think players have to stand up and be counted. If you are a professional on a £5m+ salary then you have to take a bit of responsibility for your actions.
 
It's perfectly feasible that Torres is fed up of playing with Liverpool's current attacking line up and also that he wants to play in the CL, it is low of him to submit a transfer request days before the end of the window, but you can understand why he wants to switch clubs. I thought Liverpool would bring in 2 or 3 good players this window, but they're yet to seal one. I did think he would see the season out and give Liverpool a chance to rebuild though, not 3 days.
 
Well as unreliable as goal.com is apparantly we have said we will talk but want 50Mill + Anelka i doubt its true but hey who knows.

Also annoyed at how Suarez postive story has taken a back seat thanks to the Torres situation :(

Makes sense, Fuller isn't a patch on Bent, so there's no need to ***** money up a wall just to replace him now.

I know it's all speculation at this stage but I've a feeling Sir Alex will want experience again. 'World Class' goalkeepers who are young are pretty darn rare these days and I think the likes of Buffon must surely be the sort of person he's thinking of bringing in.
 
It's not clear whether he has a clause in his deal. Some say he does, some say he doesn't. However even the 1's saying he does have this clause, they're also saying it doesn't come into play until the summer.
 
Is Kenny going to fit Torres, Suarez, Gerrard and Merieles into one side? It seems the last three could all end up in the same position on the pitch. Or is the latter going to be off?
 
Three top class players, and one distinctly average player who has scored a couple good goals. I know the three I would pick. Liverpool have picked up a very good player in Suarez, I got a feeling he will be a Bergkamp, or Van Nistelrooy in terms of his success in transferring from the Dutch league. More than slightly annoyed Spurs didn't go for him, and instead Harry seems intent on an overrated player in Carroll.
