January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Okay to liverpool fans ive already answerd this but interested in peoples view here.

For arquemeants sake if we got Carroll for that very very high price and we have Suarez would you prefer Carroll + Suarez or just Torres?

Me Carroll + Suarez as if Torres is unhappy pointless keeping him ive accepted fact he will be going regardless now

I'd prefer Torres+Suarez as Suarez was never bought as a replacement or because Torres was going.

You have to wonder 'if' Torres does sign for Chelsea what will that mean for Drogba?

Chelsea play 4-3-3, numerous managers have tried to change that but in the end they always go back to Jose's formation so will that mean either Torres or Drogba will be playing from a wide position? Stick either of them wide and you're losing a massive part of their game - Chelsea doing a City who have been doing an old Chelsea - signing players for the sake of it

If Chelsea have 50m to spend then they should blow it on someone like Modric, Fabregas or even Gerrard

Spending £30m (more than half of what you'll get for Torres) on Carroll makes no sense though. Surely save the cash, play Kuyt up front for a few months and get a much better player for £30m or less in the summer makes more sense

The money might not be able to be spent in the summer though. The way this window has gone, it appears as if clubs are taking UEFA's FFP regulations very seriously.

I would be surprised if Torres didn't make the move in all honesty. Sounds strange considering both Tevez and Rooney did a turnaround (although I personally wish Rooney hadn't bothered at this stage) but I just find it unlikely (just a feeling I guess) this is going to be the same.

Big news is this

14.15 Fom Aaron Smith: "Just heard from a usually reliable source that Liverpool have made contact with Arsenal over the availability of Nicklas Bendtner with a view to offering £6m plus Pepe Reina, such is their apparent desperation to land a ‘striker’. A representative is ready to fly to London on a pig to finalise things once Arsenal get back them."

Like Rooney for me, he's not good enough at the things you need to be a midfielder and he's not good enough to be an out and out striker(ignoring all but one season Rooney is no 30mil striker or winger), he's something inbetween.

.

Its amazing then that wayne has managed to out score almost every striker in the league over the last 5 years.

Its remarkable given that he isnt any good.
