No, for the same reason City aren't. Spending lots of money doesn't guarantee you jack. I know United fans would like to shift the pressure from theirs to loose to Chelseas, but realistically you are still the favourites, and Chelseas new signings doesn't change that.
a midlevel club (no offence) desperately spending money and an already top level club signing one of the best strikers in the world are two very different things though. They both may take time to adjust but if Torres htis the ground running...we could be ******. If he helps them win both Chelsea-United games then suddenly the gap is not so large.
